Interesting menu with fresh, healthy choices. We ordered two lunch items including a delicious grilled sandwich, generously filled, a fabulous thick peanut smoothie and a fairly good vegan soup. We also ordered the trout melt, but opted for quinoa rather than bread. The delicious smoked trout filling was served cold, and server completely forgot about the quinoa substitution. She arrived minutes later with a bowl of cold quinoa smeared with a dressing. I questioned as this dish was a âmeltâ whether it could be served warm. But she said there was no way to warm it as they only have a sandwich press, odd I thought since they serve other hot items. I asked what kind of nuts were on one of the dessert items in the case. The staff member went to check and returned with the reply that they were âtoastedâ nuts. I said âtoastedâ doesnât specify type of nut and her explanation was the products were made off site. Upon leaving I expressed my complaints to a different staffer who took more interest and was quite understanding. She did say they couldâve warmed up the trout melt, and she added the dessert company is working on providing a more comprehensive ingredient list. Pleasant staff, and the last more helpful one was great...but itâs disappointing when some staff donât take an interest in good customer experience. They have a new location we wanted to check out! Loved it before, for the high quality real-food made in-house. Service was great and very nice decor. Party of four for lunch. We quite enjoyed the daily specials (shrimp risotto) Quesadilla, salads. Scrumptious desserts (chocolate creme brûlée). Wishing these fine folks all the best at this new location.

A great choice if you like real food, not processed or instant offerings!French onion soup a fave, also the grilled selction of sandwiches. Coffees, teas etc All yummy!It's a little off the main track but well worth the visit.Friendly staff too - always a pleasure to experience :)

friendly staff and great designs on the coffee :) cool vibe and wide choice of food that really pleased us for an informal lunch. I liked that I was able to recharge my phone and that the staff sorted out my shuggly table. Selection of wine/ gin and beer hit the spot.

Based on written recommendations, had to experience Duncan"s Cafe...were not let down.The host-busboy-owner was simply an positive act to witness.The breakfast choices were excellent...the deliverables even better !Service was both professional and excellent.Great choice when in Collingwood!
