Came here for breakfast as they had some good vegan, healthy options. It was a great surprise. The staff were great. Nice and efficient, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed .

We popped into Okere Falls Store as we had a while to wait before going white water rafting at Rotorua Rafting whose office was nearby. The first thing to say is Okere Falls Store is not just a store but also where you can eat freshly prepared food in an outdoors area. The food we had was excellent quality & from what I recall it is open in the evenings and also sells alcohol.

Came for breakfast before starting a day of tourism. Loved the fruit smoothie and french pastries and breakfast. More imporantly, I sat at a community table and a very friendly woman (the owner?) came by and talked with me, and gave me tourist advice and just shared information and stories. So friendly! Grab a bene and a flat white here and you'll set yourself up for the day! The pesto is flavorful and the sour dough crispy. If you're keen on sharing, order the bacon and the salmon and swap halfway through - because they are both choice! Outside is scenic and practical if you've got kids, inside is awesome if you want something more cozy. The service is prompt and friendly and you get value for your bucks as a foodie.

Was looking forward to my first visit here but certainly won't be back. Pot of tea was lukewarm. Took it back to counter, and after staff member argued with me that it was the hottest they could make it, (yeah right..), they replaced it. Then the meal I'd ordered had a main item missing, according to description on menu. Again, returned it to counter and they got the kitchen to add the item to the plate. When going to relax in a cafe a customer shouldn't be put through this embarrassing process, not once but twice. I guess most people would not complain so they get away with it.Thank you so much for taking time to review our little cafe, NZNana, we appreciate all reviews, we take the time to thank our team for exceptional experiences and also learn from reviews such as yours. The whole experience here is wonderful from the moment you walk in the door. The food is great and plentiful. The service was second to none. Always happy to get you anything. and it is dog friendly outside. I even saw them giving a dog a bowl of water.As there was 6 of us we had a variety of food and no one was disappointed. would highly recommend it.

Me and my husband came here several times on our 5 week trip around NZ from the UK. The French toast was so good we made a detour on the return leg to come back for more. It was busy but worth the wait. Staff were friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. The coffee and lunch dishes were also great too.

Been to the surf shack a number of times, meals are awesome and the team are great so welcoming. And our dog is welcome along with free treats. What more can we say....you need to try them yiuwont be disappointed.
