The food was all freshly home cooked food and the surroundings were very relaxing and inviting. The owner was very welcoming and couldn't do more for us whilst we had lunch. The food is amazing and I will be heading back very soon5*

Although it was September we decided to reserve a table for 7pm, and it was just as well that we did as it was full when we arrived.We ordered various starters, drinks and mains. The servers were really helpful, and everything arrived reasonably quickly. The food was delicious! Despite previous reviews stating that the pies were small, both my brother and I ordered the steak and wine pie. This was a good sized individual pie on a bed of vegetables and with a large side serving of mashed potato.We would have loved to have tried the desserts, but were just too full after the first two courses. It is unlikely we will return to this area but I would certainly recommend it to anybody.

My wife, Gabrielle and I went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved our meal. Starters were scallops and smoked mackerel pate. Both were scrummy. Mains were red mullet and skate wing, both with veg and sauce. Again, lovely. Followed by a cheeseboard with port. Our wine was excellent and not too pricey. The service was good and friendly. A wonderful place for a celebration.

Weâve been to The Nook quite a few times now and it has never disappointed. The Sunday roasts are especially good. We had a family lunch here and the roast pork and roast beef were both delicious. The side of vegetables had carrots, broccoli and cauliflower cheese and all were wonderfully tasty. Two of our group needed gluten free options and they happily offered GF Yorkshire puddings, gravy and even separate vegetables. The service has always been great, the girls always remember mum (who lives close by) and how she likes her pork thinly sliced. My only warning... make sure to phone and book especially on a weekend.

We visited here mid morning on a day out to Humble-La-Rice my husbands had a chocolate and coconut topped flapjack and mine was a bake well flapjack with icing on top. They were yummy as was the freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. Nice little area to sit outside friendly staff. We will be back

Great location in Hable le Rice and the food was excellent. We've lived in the area for 5 years (LowerSwanwick) and it was great (if embarassing!) to find somewhere new. All the dishes whether meat or fish were spot on. We understand that the place is under new management; they've got off to a very good start.
