Hard to believe to find a restaurant in a building from 1627 just in the middle of Brussels. This place is famous for preparing most it its plates on the open fire. The walls have the same age as the building and gives a very cosy atmosphere. Menu at 30 â¬uro 4 courses. A small nice protected terasse in the back for warm summerdays.

This restaurant was perhaps the most pleasant surprise we had in Brussels, having been invited there by friends.A comparatively nondescript front entrance opens into a welcoming oasis of elegance & comfort. A large internal seating opens out into a pleasant sit-out @ the back. The smiles all around as one passes the open plan kitchen window vouch for the warm aura of the place.We ate a variety of dishes , but I opted for the Parguit Chicken recommended by a friend & also had Aubergine Panee as one of the starters. In my opinion , this was perhaps one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant till date & definitely the Parguit Chicken was exemplary. The succulence of the marination was just right & the tender chicken had clearly been cooked by a food lover. The Aubergine Panee took me back to another world of my childhood having eaten something similar sometime down memory lane in India.Besides the food, the innate warmth of this place is its big USP .... it's a must visit kind of place
