Called in today (Friday 30th August) with mum and dad for lunch. We had 2 courses each. The starters and mains were all excellent. Portion sizes were very generous. The service from Megan and the young man (Sorry, didn't get his name) was wonderful. Friendly, attentive and efficient. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Visited Sunday 28th with my wife and 5 year old. Had heard they prepared decent food so a visit was on the cards. Sundayâs no frills - 4 roasts offered (kids portions on request). No starters but they did puddings. The place is warm and cosy and oldy worldy which I think is nice for a Sunday lunch- a real fire was burning too! Orders placed at the bar for food and drinks we went for 3 roasts and asked to have some extra variants of meant added to the plates with more gravy and roasters as I was starving. !! Had done 80 odd miles on the push bike beforehand so needed a big meal. They happily obliged on all counts and with no extra charge. So I tipped well!! The food was decent good flavour and nice meat. The puddings were decent too. It wasnât anything fancy it was honest food cooked well. Iâd go back no worries on that score!! I paid approx 58 for 3 meals (massive ones after they have brought extras over). 3 puddings. 3 pints, 3 cokes and a hot chocolate. I donât think you can grumble at that!!! We're delighted you enjoyed your Sunday lunch and that you appreciated the value for money. Hoping to see you again !

The White Horse Inn is located in the pretty village of Llandyrnog, offering a warm welcome, great beer and a large menu, excellent reputation for good home cooked food made from local produce. A traditional restaurant, welcoming families and couples, has
Iâm so disappointed, Took my partner here after raving about the food (last went 3&4 years ago) always remembered the delight of the home cooked chips and Prosecco on tap!) food was really badly executed, steaks were flavourless and squidgy and I donât mean melt in your mouth, I suspect the pan wasnât hot enough or it was over-flipped which is a big shame because it would have been a good cut as I believe they are sourced from local farms. Vegetable side had been nuked to death in the microwave, tiny portion of dauphinois - please donât microwave anything! and my beloved chips- hard as rocks and dry to the bone. It was so entirely a lacklustre food experience and we were starving on arrival that we just ate it and left, - definitely wonât be returning. The combination of quality of execution (poor) and cost (above average) doesnât justify a return visit. Staff were lovely and the premises is very rustic and pretty that is the only plus on this occasion.

This pub is at the heart of the small local community. A warm and welcoming atmosphere make a visit special anytime. The beer is well kept and always a range of real ales available. The extensive range of whiskies and gins cater for every taste. A good selection of wines will compliment your meal with an additional range available by the glass. The Indian food is outstanding. Authentic Punjabi cuisine which never fails to delight. I'm lucky enough to be able to visit most weeks and cannot rate the food highly enough. Thursday's are "curry night" but Indian food is available throughout the week. The Punjabi cuisine is complimented by pub food favourites using locally sourced ingredients to provide something for every taste.I may be biased as this is my local pub, but without doubt one of the finest in the area.

The White Horse Restaurant is located in the hamlet of Hendrerwydd near Ruthin within the Vale of Clwyd, North Wales Surrounded by stunning scenery and overlooking the Clwydian hills, it's a place to leave the busy world behind and come and enjoy good foo
We were a party of three for dinner.Ambience and decorA classic, old-fashioned pub that caters for diners looking for something better than pub food and also a local clientele. The lay-out of the dining room was cosy and there was a nice atmosphere. The decor could be more inspired and the gents toilets need attention.FoodThe menu includes 6-8 choices for each course, with one vegetarian main. Food quality and presentation is good, reflecting a chef who has obviously either worked in a quality restaurant prior to coming here or knows a thing or two about cooking. If there was an area to improve upon, I thought the desserts could have done with more inspiration.ServiceThere is always a danger with employing 4-5 young waiters in the 16-19 age bracket. These young people were polite, efficient and well-trained. We had very good service. To sum up, we would definitely go back to the White Horse. it is popular with locals and visitors alike, and we would recommend it as a village pub/restaurant that provides something which is much better than average.

The Leyland Arms is one of the few remaining true country pubs with a real country pub attitude. The Leyland Arms exists primarily to keep the local community together and to provide a social center for those within Llanelidan.A warm welcome also awaits a
I was introduced to this Gastropub by friends and was enchanted. The Landlord and his wife are extremely friendly, the setting is idyllic and the history of the place fascinating. The menu was inspired which is not always the case these days. I was very impressed and will bring other friends from Ruthin and Llanfwrog, where I live. Definitely 5*.

We attended for Motherâs Day. Absolutely faultless from start to finish. Paul and Debbie and their staff couldnât have been nicer. Food and setting was sublime, as always. Best roast dinner (vegetarian) Iâve eaten. We were amazed when the told us theyâd done 250 covers that day. The staff were so friendly and the food was so well cooked and presented. Best pub food for miles and miles around.

We made a booking for 4, our friends celebrating their wedding anniversary. The friendly staff did all they could to help to put up balloons and banners. The food was excellent, superb choice in starters and mains. Even sharing the dessert was no problem. Highly recommend this restaurant, could not have wished for more and we had a fantastic and memorable evening!
