Maybe because we had lunch and then there is only the lunch menu available and maybe not the chef in the kitchen?Anyway the served food was okay but not great. Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere (there were all ages present, from a tiny newborn to, well, us...), clean bathrooms. And the food was familiar, but with an accent on good ingredients. We had flatbread sandwiches, and the Tongerlo blond (Belgian) beer was delicious. Desserts are sinfully excessive.

We chose this restaurant as it looked nice, was busy and seemed to offer lots of choice (the terrace awning suggested a much more varied menu than what was actually on offer). We were seated straight away inside. It is beautifully decorated. We got a shock when we saw the prices on the menu prices start at â¬18 for a main meal (chicken skewers). We ordered, pointing to the menu as the waitress initially didnât understand what we were asking for. This didnât help, as the wrong food was served, but was rectified without problem. Service was very slow. The drink waiter must have been a new member of staff as he brought several drink orders to us, meant for other tables, throughout our meal. The food was very nice.

After sitting ourselves in a free outside table we were very shortly met by amazingly friendly and attentive staff. We ordered garlic frites and sweet potato frites, one with holy guacamole and the other with truffle mayo. Honestly the best frites I've had in the whole of the Netherlands all washed down with a delicious Beer recommended by the waitress. Thank you!
