Visited this restaurant on our first night in Nepal. It is based at the Hotel Dwarika. This restaurant offers from 6 course to 21 course meals. We opted for 6 course. Food was superbly served in a traditional way and we were given our own personalised menu. All waitresses were dressed in traditional Nepalese dress. Definitely worth the experience.

It may cost a few more rupees than other Thamel restaurants, but you will not find a more beautiful retreat from the bustle of the street or tastier menu items than Melrose. I stopped for lunchtime appetizers; both wings and fries were delicious.But the real pluses are the peaceful setting and the friendly service. Quiet jazz music also sets the right tone.

Very satisfying, the Newari set meal with beaten rice (baji) recalls Newari party food, good quality, and if you want some true local specialities such as goat brain, or dried buffalo flank, or buff achar, that is also sometimes available (ask what the untranslated items on the menu are and if they are available). Lapsi achar was excellent, as are the chatamari. Yomari dough a bit thick and chewy. Service is good, the outdoor patio a pleasant place to eat. Relatively inexpensive, and they are willing to give you seconds if you ask for them, along with extra roasted chili peppers if you want it to be more authentic.

Owner started the restaurant in 2018. Really nice place. The owner is a really nice and fair guy. We ordered a bottle of Nepali wine (Rs 995). To save us the expense of buying the wine and not liking it, he let us taste it first. Which was very good, because the wine was too sweet for our liking. Lots of foreign people already found this place. We had a butter chicken curry with rice ( Rs 300 ), bottle of Nepali beer, bottle of water and 3 roti's. Total bill was Rs 1100. Saturdays closed, other days open from 10am until 10pm. Highle recommended,Quite our honour that we got to serve you. We really appreciate for your time on this review. Hope the dish stood up on you expectaions. We really enjoy having customers like you and hope we can do same next time with Fusion Himalaya Restaurant

Wow what a find, has to be the best food in Kathmandu by far. Shusila is the friendliest host there is. The Dal Bhat is just amazing and local beer on draft. The cost is very easy on the wallet, value for money for sure. Thank you for an amazing meal and the best service ever. Iâll be back

Really fantastic food for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans alike. My husband, who is vegan, loved their salads, while I loved their Nepali dishes (try their Thali!). They also have Western dishes such as pasta, grilled chicken and pizza.Cozy and welcoming environment on the top floor of Mandala Street in the heart of Thamel. Staff are lovely, very friendly, helpful, and accommodating to changing things in the menu to suit oneâs taste.Quality of food very high and prices very reasonable.I would recommend to make a reservation beforehand, as every time we went there it was full.

Everything about the restaurant was outstanding. The food is unbelievably good and consistently so. We had their specialty "Choie La Kathmandu," which was made just unspicy enough for our western palates. I had it twice, my wife had it 3 times. I then moved on to the stuffed chicken breast, which became my favorite for the next 3 dinners. The Nepal Ice they serve was our "go to" beer. The staff is friendly and helpful. They got to know us and even gave us a free dessert the last night we were there. If we had stayed there longer, we would have tried the hamburger and fries, which other people tried and which looked delicious too.

Donât miss this hotel and itâs restaurants. The staff is simply fantastic. Attentive, efficient, charming. The place is stunning. Itâs what you imagine of Kathmandu if it was all clean and perfectly restored. So a great place to come after a day of sightseeing in the charming but semi-destroyed real Kathmandu! Only thing is slightly improve is the quality of food that, while being good, itâs not best. Ah, and the have gluten free options. Look forward to the day they decide to make gluten free momos! Worth of a special mention are Pramesh and Milan. The best staff there!

Canât believe found an amazing Indian restaurant in Kathmandu, the food here are just fantastic. Mutton and chicken biryani are my favorites. Also panner masala, soo good. The foods seem very well prepared with their unique authentic originally from Bhora Muslim, knowned to be originally migrated from Yemen to Gujarat. Ms. Tasneem, the owener, manages this restaurant from the kitchen to ensure all are in high quality. Attached photo of dessert, gajar ka halwa, made from carrot.
