My best meal in Nepal for sure! The food was really really good, well prepared, fresh ingredients, delicate and balanced. Impressive! Been here few times.comfortable seats and very welcoming environment.very good meal and beers are very cold.There are so many variety of dishes in their menu and I chose the grilled chicken.It was very good and enjoyed having dinner at this place.There is large space for groups and for families to spend good time.Highly Recommended.Chocolate brownie is recommended.

We passed by and like the atmosphere in the cafe Mitra and decided to have dinner there the next day. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances, we went to the cafe almost at closing time. One of the staff is not tactful, and telling us in a not friendly manner that it is closing time.Trying to get us out. He could have said it in a better way.

It may cost a few more rupees than other Thamel restaurants, but you will not find a more beautiful retreat from the bustle of the street or tastier menu items than Melrose. I stopped for lunchtime appetizers; both wings and fries were delicious.But the real pluses are the peaceful setting and the friendly service. Quiet jazz music also sets the right tone.

Really fantastic food for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans alike. My husband, who is vegan, loved their salads, while I loved their Nepali dishes (try their Thali!). They also have Western dishes such as pasta, grilled chicken and pizza.Cozy and welcoming environment on the top floor of Mandala Street in the heart of Thamel. Staff are lovely, very friendly, helpful, and accommodating to changing things in the menu to suit oneâs taste.Quality of food very high and prices very reasonable.I would recommend to make a reservation beforehand, as every time we went there it was full.

Everything about the restaurant was outstanding. The food is unbelievably good and consistently so. We had their specialty "Choie La Kathmandu," which was made just unspicy enough for our western palates. I had it twice, my wife had it 3 times. I then moved on to the stuffed chicken breast, which became my favorite for the next 3 dinners. The Nepal Ice they serve was our "go to" beer. The staff is friendly and helpful. They got to know us and even gave us a free dessert the last night we were there. If we had stayed there longer, we would have tried the hamburger and fries, which other people tried and which looked delicious too.

Good, quiet restaurant just off a busy street near Chetrapathi. Excellent mint lemonade and yoghurt based fruit drinks. Thukpa was OK. Fried rice fine. Very friendly staff!

Lovely setting in ab old palace with a beautiful garden.Very peaceful and stylish place.On the other hand, food was really average and expensive... Service was professional but not really friendly ...I would suggest to choose local cuisine resto when in Kathmandu and eat French cuisine when in Europe.
