Clonmel (Irish: Cluain Meala, meaning "honey meadow") is the county town and largest settlement of County Tipperary, Ireland. The town is noted in Irish history for its resistance to the Cromwellian army which sacked the towns of Drogheda and Wexford. With the exception of the townland of Suir Island, most of the borough is situated in the civil parish of "St Mary's" which is part of the ancient barony of Iffa and Offa East.

My partner and I were in Clonmel for one night and booked the Bunker at short notice after viewing previous very positive TripAdvisor reviews. I can attest that this restaurant is worthy of its 5 star rating. The best restaurants combine good food and great staff and this place has both in abundance, Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and service was seamless and unobtrusive. My partner is a coeliac and was easily accommodated, with much of the menu able to be adjusted to omit gluten. The starters of chicken wings and prawns were delicious, the home made breads very good too. We had a fillet steak and a ribeye for mains and both were cooked to perfection ( you would be surprised how many so called steak restaurants cannot actually cook a steak properly). The confit onions were a new experience and full of flavour. The wine list is reasonably priced and the wines are good quality and varied. The setting for the restaurant is a basement in a historical building, with the original brickwork and structure preserved, making for a cosy and interesting venue.I highly recommend the Bunker;we will be back for sure.

We eat here from time to time. The food is great and the menu gives you lots of choice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The decor is American Diner. There is loads of free parking as it is in the Showgrounds shopping centre. Just a note for the regional management, your sweet chilli sauce is now a watery consistency despite it being the same brand. We love the sweet potato fries and sweet chilli sauce, but dipping the fry in it is like dipping it in water, and I dread to think what a wrap with this sauce would be like. Please change your sweet chilli sauce because we won't be eating your sweet potato fries until it comes with a sauce not a watery dip.

Supermacs taste the same no matter where you eat. The same with Papa John's pizza and Supersub. Supersub close earlier than the other two so be aware you cannot get a sub after 9pm.There's ample seating and wi-fi and the staff are friendly & there's a drivethrough & ample parking (even if their car park is full you have parking in the large Tesco carpark or Mr Price beside it. They also deliver.

Dropped in here a couple of days ago for a cup of coffee with my wife. Sat at the table for at least five minutes in a not very busy restaurant. Waitresses walked buy as though we were invisible and never even acknowledged we were there. After the said five or six minutes we stood up and walked and still no one bothered to a recognise we existed. We visit here fairly regularly for a snack or coffee and this is not the first time this happened. The staff would know us a customers to the extent they would guess what we might have. I put this down to bad management training. I won't say that this will be our last time in here but with the absence of WiFi it is one of the places now we chose NOT to go. A lovely looking modern restaurant like this should insist on better service and come in to the current century. If you do go in here make plenty of noise so you attract the attention of the lovely waitresses.
