Worst Hotel with zero amenities and exorbitant prices
Reviewed By VenkyTravellerWe are two families and booked two rooms in this hotel for new year’s eve as we could not find any other hotel. 1. The rooms are so small that you can’t even walk comfortably. 2. The towels they provide have stains all over and if you ask for extra towel, they give you tiny napkins - the ones that are placed in the bathroom doors to wipe your feet. Stinky and disgusting. 3. The blankets have stains and when asked they said those are burned stains. Looks bad and I don’t know why they still keep them. 4. They close the shutter of the hotel by 9:30 PM and you have to call them or knock on the shutters for them to open it for you if you come after 9:30 PM… and they take their own sweet time to open these shutters while you keep standing on the road in the chilly weather waiting for them to let you in. 5. No parking for vehicles and the whole area is so shady that even if you park your car on the road - there is no guarantee for your vehicle or its parts. 6. On the day of our check out there was no hot water. It was terribly cold and there was some problem with water heater. They were providing hot water in buckets for those who are still staying but since we were checking out, they never bothered about us. They did not provide hot water and they did not even feel sorry or apologise. Worst behaviour with the customers. 6. They charge you before hand for any extra things that you ask like mattress/bed etc. These items will be provided only if you pay the amount before hand. Never seen any hotel charging for these things beforehand. We have taken an extra bed and the quality of the bed is worst than a one star hotel. 7. No toiletries. They don’t provide brush/paste or anything at all. 8. There are no fire safety measures or directions. God forbid something happens, there is no way to escape. When we raised all these concerns, they did not even bother to answer and never even felt apologetic. They simply did not care. Overall, you will be cheated and the service they provide you for the exorbitant prices they charge is terrible. I will never recommend this hotel. There are better hotels in this area. Stay away from this place.

Awful - Spoilt my Shillong Holiday
Reviewed By bangaloreman2016The man at the reception is rude and insolent. The premises had a bad odor in the room, bathroom everywhere. Bed sheet was stained with beetle leaf spittle. Do not know when the linen was changed previously ? Bathroom door handle was broken. There were two huge holes where the handle should have been. Room size was so small , the beds make it impossible to move in there. Ruined my holiday. Not at all recommended. I had booked this place only because of the OYO name and through Make My Trip.com. The insolent man at the front desk seems to allot the worst room at the home stay to those who book through Make My Trip.com. Now both Oyo and Make My Trip get a bad name for no fault of theirs !

Reviewed By 764vinaypMy worst 'hotel' stay ever ... Even after paying in full advance, I was given the left over spare rooms. Rooms were so small, giving the feeling of jail cell, paint had peeled off, no towels, no sanitizer, tv remote batt. were dead, no geyser. Rooms opened up at the reception, so no privacy. The manager was so rude, it was as if he was doing favour to us by giving accomodation. we had booked for 3 nights, but we checked out in 2 nights only. My personal suggestion, do not opt this & even if you plan to, check the rooms before you check-in or pay for reservation. The only star is for the 'Sweet Stud' guy who always had a smiling face

Quiet and Peaceful stay
Reviewed By 600arindamsThis June we went to Shillong and stayed at Pine Air Guest House. We stayed in three of their rooms, two double bedrooms and one dorm with three beds, all quite spacious. The bathrooms were very clean and fairly spacious. The place was nice, calm and quiet, with a forest nearby. Though the guest house was far from Police bazar we loved it very much, given it's serenity and greenery. Cars are available to and from Polo bazar and Police bazar. There's a kids' play area just beside the lawn, You & I Cafe adjacent where a lot of local youth flock throughout the day. Aiban, the owner, is a very gentle and amicable person. Meeting him would seem as if he is a long acquaintance and would assure you of all necessary help. Overall, I loved my stay there and would definitely recommend the place, not for everyone, but for those who would like to unwind for a few days in the lap of nature.

Reviewed By KavinaBWhen we were booked into La Nicholas, we were surprised that it didn’t have much reviews online. So didn’t have too much expectations though we were sure we would get good views from the hotel. We were earlier booked for the Premium Rooms; when we found out they have Cottages too, we upgraded to that since it had unrestricted views of the Lake, and perfect for watching the Sunrise. Cottages were roomy had all the facilities like hot water, tea kettle and amenities, balcony, tv, heater and AC. The only drawback is that as the cottages are at a steep climb from the rest of the hotel they are not offering room service so you have to come down to their restaurant for meals which was okay with us, as our priority was the view. As far as hospitality, it comprised of very Co-operative staff, who tried to cater to all our requests. Special mention for Jacintha (Front office), David (Restaurant). Thank you very much for making our stay so comfortable and wonderful. Keep up the good work !!
