Marne-la-Vallee Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Marne-la-Vallee

September 23, 2017 Florencio Paulino

Why did Marne-la-Vallée make our list? It's simple: Disneyland Park Paris. Families have flocked here since its opening in 1992. Other Disney attractions include Walt Disney Studios Park and Golf Disneyland. If you need a break from Minnie and Mickey et al., visit the Sea Life Centre or Val d'Europe Shopping Center.

For the last 8 years my wife and I had the pleasure of tasting the creative cuisine of Chef Jean Chauvel several times. Whenever in Paris, we had to make Reservations @ Les Magnolias.
Unfortunately, Mr. Chauvel and his wife are no longer the owners of Les Magnolias.
I tried the new chef's menu in October and, of course, there is no comparison to what Les Magnolias once offered.
The servers are still the same, and so is side of mashed potatoes. However, there is no creativity in the new menu.
As the appetizer, I ordered the vegetable tempura and it was overly greasy! The main course was a very tiny piece of lamb and the dessert was okay.
The fixed price menu is still $59.00 euros, but it is simply not worth going from Paris all the way to Les Perreux sur Marne.

The food is very fresh and very tasty. They are doing this restaurant for 20 years! The personnel is super friendly and they are fast, you do not have long waiting time.
We will go back there on our next trip!

The location of this restaurant could not be worse. Hard to reach because of the tortuous one-way system of this Ile-de-France borough, it is even harder to find parking once you get there. But the rewards of this foolhardiness include food that is simply sensational, and prices that defy the laws of Economics.
Food as art carries the risk of persisting hunger. Food as surrealist art even more so. Not here, where appetite as well as all five senses will be amply gratified. Since our first visit several years ago, the staid conventional wood-dominated décor has been upgraded to glass, steel and ceramic The space seems to be somewhat larger, and the wait staff much younger and less competent than previously. But the food remains as imaginative as ever. The 41-euro menu buys three courses ( choice of 4 for each) plus a fine selection of cheeses, unfortunately badly presented and poorly explained by our waiter. The complimentary extras included an amuse bouche (Lobster and goat’s cheese raviolis in a creamy mustard sauce), and a stunning pre-desert (a glass of frozen white-chocolate mousse).
My entrée was billed as a crème brulee with Burgundy snails and garlic, and was flamed with cognac by the resident arsonist. My wife’s comprised three perfectly plump scallops on a crunchy cheese biscuit topped with a luxurious cole-slaw of beetroot flavored with passion-fruit. For the main course, I selected the snowy-white cod-steak with exquisitely crisped skin, placed in a crunchy buttery leek-tart along with diced onions and tomatoes, and accompanied by a sauce of anise. The breast of chicken coated with roasted almonds chosen by my wife came with girolle mushrooms, a chestnut sauce, and a delectable range of tiny vegetables. Two spectacular Deserts, the pinnacle of the confectioner’s art, followed: a crafty mélange of fried pineapple, passion-fruit pulp, and a mousse of rum and dark chocolate; Paris Brest --- a donut of choux pastry sliced to provide a “sandwich” of almond and hazel-nut fourre, and a side-portion of carmel ice-cream. A trio of delectable gourmandizes concluded this feast. An important tip: if you do drive, arrange to stop outside the door and seek help with the parking; they know where, and you don’t. Bon appétit.

Le Nogentais was very pleasant and the food was a good standard brasserie selection. It was not a place I would go for a special evening, but it was certainly commendable. The server was very pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Located in a quiet street (3 min walk from the train station), the place is very pleasant, spacious, with a Terrace open when weather allows. The food is excellent (French, traditional and modern at the same time). New menu every month which gives you a good reason to book more often. The "Terre et Mer" salad is very generous (everything from the starter to the dessert is!) and offers a variety of flavors (home made smoked salmon, foie gras, crab ravioli, even lobster sometimes...). The Chef and his staff are great (we appreciated their suggestions and service). It is definitely a place to go for a good time.

L'Aigle d'Or

Since 1969, l'Aigle d'Or is a family restaurant passed down from generation to generation. At only 15 minutes from Paris, l'Aigle d'Or is now an institution of the French cuisine. In a green setting, enjoy a gastronomic cuisine, combining fresh, exquisite flavors and careful presentation. Our sommelier will recommend a wine in relation to your meal. Let yourself be seduced by a wine list rich and diversified. (Wines tables and grands crus of each French region, brut & vintage champagnes...)

This is a restaurant for special occasions or a leisurely Sunday lunch with family. Tables are large and well spaced from each other. The restaurant is located in a small quaint village about a 20 minute drive to the East of Paris and very close to Disneyland Paris. The menus are varied and generous and the food is very fresh and tasty and nicely presented. This is one of the first restaurants I go to where the Chef welcomes you and takes your order; he is friendly and ready to please. Service is perfect. The restaurant has a Terrace and Gardens and I will definitely try it again on a sunny day.

This is actually my first rating but this small creperie outside of Paris just convinced me and really deserves a great rating! Have been in a few creperies around Paris and non of them even nearly can create this extremely delicious crepes. Additionally, they are even cheaper than it is usual. Just go take the trip out of the city center and enjoy great French cuisine! Appreciez!
