Parc Departemental du Sausset

Reviewed By Guillaume g - Paris, France

It is the main attraction in Sevran, when it's spring and summer time, it's wonderful to visit that park. It's called park/forest as it's quite big. For families, there's some animals inside, and 2 recreational children's places. You can see the "Canal de l'Ourcq" that runs there to Paris.
There's as well, a little house that offers themes on particular subject from time to time. Last time for example, it was all about soil, the animals that contribute to their fertility etc.. Just keep in mind that evething is in french, no english explanations.
All in all, if you happen to be in Sevran, don't miss Parc de la Poudrerie.

Air and Space Museum

The world's oldest aeronautics museum specializes in World War I aircraft.

This is a very good museum - well laid out, clean, and with some first class exhibits. I am no airplane 'geek' but both me and my son (7) enjoyed it, especially being able to go on the planes (747 and Concorde's being the highlight). You could easily spend half a day here, and people really into planes will want to spend a lot longer.
I have to say its not brilliant for kids - for example a place like Duxford would be more appealing. Add to that while a lot of the displays are in English (and German) as well as French, its a real shame that the Planetarium and Simulators are only suitable for French speakers. If they sorted that this would be a truly international museum and worth of a 5 star rating.
As it is if you have a car and are at a loose end for a few hours before flying out of CDG or Orly this is a great place to visit, and its inexpensive (free if you don't go on the planes!).

I spent three hours on this very well presented memorial building overlooking the Cite de la Mouette. This was the transit location for some 86,000 Jews. The information is well presented with an excellent auto-guide which connect to relevant videos. The floor to ceiling windows afford a powerful view over the U-shaped apartment buildings which were at the core of the history. The on-site staff were most welcoming and helpful.

We don't share other reviewers' enthusiasm. A bit of a trek from Paris center. Apparently the basilica Cathedral has undergone successive renovations over the years and has lost luster over the past few hundred years. Renovated exterior interesting, interior left us cold. The necropole of the kings of France occupies part of the premises, and carries an entry fee: interesting mostly for the funerary art.
