AWESOME cute food cafe with tasty special paneer kulchey choley Masala Chaap. 1st time in my life to try this dish and it was amazing delicious. The owner is a Singh GUY SO HUMBLE AND FRIENDLY. iF YOU ARE SOME WHERE IN MANALI pls drop in at this cafe, its just at the road side and you better be early as its always busy. A must place to go if you are someone who loves to try new food.

We stopped over while returning from Solang Valley to our resort. It is a cafe on Manali - Naggar road and for us it was on the way. It is quaint little place with beautiful seating indoors as well as outside in the garden. We ordered simple Indian food but it was just wonderfully cooked.The piece of cake we had ordered was something we can always go back for. It might be a detour for those in Manali but if you are planning a visit to Naggar Castle then it is on the way. Do stop over and carry cash !

Definitely the best place to be when you are in Old Manali. Whether its the day time or the evening or even late at night, this place is always buzzing with energy due to an amazing ambience, great food and superb service.You have sufficient choice to sit outside adjacent to the river (at a height), indoors or even on the rock top by the river side itself.You can spend the whole day lazing around ordering beverages/drinks of your choice and a great cuisine from the expert chefs.Services also include Sheesha/Hookah and it seems quite popular with the younger lot.This has been my 2nd season at Old Manali and I have had most of my meals at The Lazy Dog and I must say everything tastes great and the service is always with a smile.It is a must drop-in if you are in Old Manali.Thanx for such wonderful memories @ The Lazy Dog.

Access to this place is through a narrow suspended bridge, which is tough. Good food. Motorcycle-theme based restaurant is well-designed. Even the flooring is asphalted with lane markings. Now, we are ready to check out as already informed the attendant. Not a soul is seen in the property, which is left unguarded. We are the only people in this property now. Phones are either switched off or not reachable. Our time is wasted while we are starved. We are not able to pay our bills and quit. Very bad experience. Perhaps, this is the special treatment meted out to us, the senior citizens. I am reducing the rating to a single star as I can't give anything below.

We reached Drifter's cafe quite early in the morning straight after our long journey from Delhi. The cafe wasn't open yet and the staff was still cleaning, but looking at our tired faces and heavy backpacks, they offered us to sit in the cafe, kept our luggage in their office and served us a quick tea. We spent around 3 hour there and had a great time. The owner & staff was very polite and friendly. I had the tortelloni (lamb ragu inside, accompanied by light tomato sauce and thick sheared pieces of cheese and some leafy basil), which was easily the best western pasta dish this reviewer ever had in India. Service was professional, with bar menu on offer (cocktails, mocktails, etc.), which makes it feel very much like a western restaurant (but with Indian dishes on offer too). Note that if you are looking for both the restaurant AND the hotel, there are TWO Johnson establishments (right next to each other but divided by a garden / lot wall; walk out the lobby of each for 20 meters and you will be in the other place), each with its own restaurant. This Bar & Restaurant is with the Johnson LODGE. The Cafe is with the Johnson HOTEL.
