OUR FAMILY AND PERSONALLY OPERATED HOTEL Our hotel is located in Maishofen, in the middle of Zell am See / Kaprun and Saalbach / Hinterglemm. Our hotel has 35 comfortable rooms. Five romantically decorated adventure-themed suites and our deluxe room on the third floor overlooking Lake Zell are our pride and joy. In our restaurant we serve regional specialties. In the summer our fantastically designed leisure area with outdoor pool and sun terrace invites you to relax. Throughout the year, our beautiful spa area with sauna, infrared cabin, steam bath, relaxation area and a romantic indoor pool - all only for adults. In detail, we offer: Modern deluxe rooms, spacious junior suites and romantic decorated themed suites (accessible by elevator) Double room (for single occupancy available), superior rooms and our Sunshine Suite All rooms are equipped with flat screen TV, shower or bath / WC, hairdryer and refrigerator / mini bar (except id double rooms).

Reviewed By 817merilynkNice and friendly place. Not very close to any ski lifts, but if you like to visit all villages in this area, then is good location- in the middle. Sauna is quite small. Breakfast is good, dinner is normal.

Comfortable welcoming hotel in traditional style
Reviewed By Alan BNicely modernised rooms with balcony and great mountain views. The family Eder take real personal care of guests and provide a warm welcome, and great breakfasts with local produce, and some homemade items. Location is very good in a peaceful hamlet just a couple of km outside Zell am See. The north shore of the lake is walkable in about 20 minutes, and cycle paths pass by the house and connect with the local network (cycle hire also available on request!). Highly recommended, whether for winter sports, hiking, sightseeing in the region, or just a stopover. We enjoyed our stay from beginning to end.

Our family-run bed&breakfast is located in Maishofen, a family-friendly village in the near of Zell am See and Saalbach.The house is situated in Kirchham, 1 km far from the centre.Surrounded by romantic mountains you can find first-class skiing areas and interesting excursion destinations in our region.Start your day with our great breakfast buffet, with products from our own farm and enjoy the beautiful view from our winter-garden.We have cosy rooms, with shower, toilet, cable TV and most of them have balcony. Reviewed By Werner vMy wife and I arrived from Bali, Indonesia, on 15 Feb and stayed 1 month in their guesthouse, which is beside the hotel/apartments and consists out of a number of apartments. Maishofen is ideal for skiing in the Saalbach/Hinterglemm and Zell am See area, but also not far away from the Kaprun and an hour drive to Kitzbuehel. The owner only rents an apartment in the guesthouse for a longer period. We were 1 month there, but the owner prefers a rental period for 6 weeks. The guesthouse consisted of a spacious, well equipped kitchen, an average (in seize) living room, well constructed bathroom/toilet and a big bedroom with 1 king size and 1 single bed. TV in the living room, but a second TV in the bedroom is foreseen. Parking in front of the house or the other side of the street. Heating radiators in all rooms, floor heating in the bathroom. We always found it a bit chilly in the bedroom, basically the coldest place in the apartment, probably because it is built above the garage. The apartment is very soundproof. Internet download average 18mbs/sec. Floor all wood, tiles in the bathroom. The apartment in the guesthouse is brand new and built from high quality materials What we found a bit awkward is that bed linen was never changed and a responsibility for the guests, basically also for towels, although we got a few more than the one set. According to the owner such was the normal standard in Austria for living in a guesthouse. However, the annex had a washing machine and dryer (euro 2 for using) so no problem, we did the washing ourselves. However, it is advisable to bring 1 set of bed linen and towels.

Top Knotch Family Stay in Stunning Area
Reviewed By brianhawkenWow. Just Wow. We stayed 5 nights in the Schwalbennest, which is not inside the castle proper, but a seperate building a few meters away. The apartment was perfect size for our family of 4 (two kids, 10 & 4yo). The beds were comfortable. It may have been the cleanest apartment we have ever rented in our travels. It contained everything we needed for our stay, including a dishwasher? The host was great and easy to contact and communicate with via whatsapp to answer any questions or concerns during our stay. She answered any questions prior to our stay via email in a timely manner. Our kids loved "working" on the farm, collecting eggs, feeding animals, milking cows....as well as using the many bikes, carts, play area, trampoline....great to have these things available on our downtime. More then a handful of local restaurants within 2-5min walk (offer take away as well). Bike and Ski rental 2 min walk. Bike path to lake is right here as well. The area affords you seemingly limitless opportunities for outdoor activites and a wealth of them are geared towards families and children. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed in one of the most scenic and activity-abundant areas we have ever been.

Reviewed By esidrsI have stayed her twice in 2019 and 2020. I joined my friends during a ski trip. Friends I stay with are regulars here and have been staying many times over years. There were 8 of us each time. We had all top floor (4 bedrooms and 2 living rooms with kitchenette) booked for us. The rooms were tidy, spacious and with all necessary included. Rooms were quiet and the view to mountains was stunning. Ground floor drying room for ski equipment was a nice extra as it was great to put on a dry and warm ski equipment in the mornings. We was spending most days skiing and attended local SPA and Sauna twice. Food shops and SPA are a short drive away. We used rental car to get to locations, but there is also a bus stop nearby with easy connection to ski lifts. Owner Petra is always welcoming, kind and friendly. It was a pleasure to return. Highly recommended and we will be returning again! Thank you!

The daughter Anica, works so hard and efficiently to make sure all guests are well looked after. Great bar, and lovely food in the restaurant. Lovely walking area and only 20 minutes from Zell am See. Highly recommend

Great apartment, decent location, nice owners
Reviewed By robwks7I had the small apartment here. Great bed, good bathroom, good towels. Kitchen a bit small, but perfectly adaquate and well equipped. Wifi reliable - you can plug directly into the wall if not connecting multiple devices. Nice house (take your shoes off as you go in!). I was a little concerned about noise potential, being only 100m off the main road, but nights were pretty silent even with the window open. Note that the turning into Atzing off the main road can be awkward to spot (esp at night), but there is a small tunnel under the road which helps if you need to cross oncoming traffic.

Good Base for Ski Resorts
Reviewed By HBeanlandWe had a double room in Feb 2015 for one week. Although the room was simply furnished and fairly basic it was clean and warm as was the ensuite bathroom. There was no lounge but the bar/dining room was comfortable and the service was good. Michael (the owner) was an exceptional and amusing host. Meals were basic but well prepared and cooked, but only with a choice of main course. The Gasthof is in a superb location if you have transport. We visited 6 different resorts over 6 days using the Salzburger Super Ski Pass all less than half an hours drive. Most were within a 15 minute drive. The value for money is exceptional. There is Wifi, but only in the bar area. Don't expect luxury, but if you're looking for somewere simple and homely - this is it!

Reviewed By Sissi1731Wir hatten das kleinere Appartement gebucht. Das Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Doppelbett und ein Stockbett (bei uns für die Kinder). Die Einrichtung war neuwertig und modern. Die Küche und das Badezimmer sind auf dem neusten Stand. Im Flur sind noch nicht alle Arbeiten abgeschlossen - was aber nicht weiter störte. Ein wenig mehr Stauraum - geraden bei Skiurlauben - wäre schön gewesen. Aber ansonsten sehr schön.
