Buxtehude is a steadily growing medium-sized town and the second largest in the district of Stade. It lies on the southern borders of the Altes Land within easy reach of the city-state of Hamburg. West of it are the towns of Horneburg and Stade and to the south there are incorporated villages offering mostly upscale housing, e.g. Ottensen and Apensen.

Not only do the serve food but they have the best ice cream in town with a huge variety. The marzipan ice cream is my personal favorite. Two scoops are better than one.

Make it an in between shopping trips. Go for a cappucino or expresso! Bomba Anna...try it...Well worth going out of your way. Ice Cream like you have never had before!!!Parking on side streets. Access on foot. Prices very reasonable.
