This restaurant is optimally located by what is to become the new harbour in town. We were with friends who eat here regularly, and actually had also eaten here several years ago, and sat outside as it was somewhat warm that evening. We started with perfectly mixed white wine schorles, which our friends recommended as they say the schorles are perfect every time.The starter salads were OK but generous in size. I had the schnitzel âhölle-hölleâ; a gigantic, thick pork cutlet with an absolutely terrific, creamy, spicy sauce, accompanied by roasted potatoes. I canât usually finish my dinner portions as I am a light eater, but in this case, although I was stuffed quite soon, I just didnât want the experience to stop. The other three at our table had the rump steak (one with the Madagascar pepper sauce, who reported it being top-notch), all three of which were gigantic portions. Even the Williams schnaps at the end of the meal was delicious.The restrooms are adorned with photos of attractive bodies so be sure to check them out, both males and females.If we lived anywhere near here we would be sure to eat here regularly.

This is a lovely restaurant with a good menu, but we were mainly interested in the Asparagus specialities.We were well looked after by 2 gracious ladies, one of which was able to help us by speaking English. Chose a couple of schnitzels with a generous serving of white asparagus with some green for colour. Fantastic Hollandaise sauce and a great bottle of German red wine. Good espressos too. We enjoyed the restaurant so much we booked for the next evening.The next night the food was just as good and so glad we booked as they were very busy.Highly recommended, but come hungry, as the portions are large!

Lots and lots of schnitzels. Also pizza's. The quality was average. Happy hour from Sonday-Thursday from 18:00-20:00 hr.

Wir waren mit unsere Doppelkopfrunde und unseren Frauen zum 70. Geburtstag unseres Freundes eingeladen. Die ca. 70 Familienmitglieder und Freunde fanden eine liebevoll dekorierte Tafel und ein angenehmes Ambiente vor. Das Buffet bot alles, was man sich wünschen kann vom Wild über die Gans bis zu zwei Fischgerichten. Hier kann man wieder feiern.

Onderweg met de fiets zijn we gestopt voor een drankje en een hapje op het zomerterras. Heerlijk en wat een uitzicht. Vriendelijke man die ons de kaart aanbood. We kozen voor een salade met kaas en een salade met haantjesreepjes en een radler. Eenvoudig gerechtjes maar wat heeft ons dat gesmaakt!

Schon oft besuchten wir dieses Restaurant. Abseits aller Hast und Eile liegt dieses Gasthaus oberhalb der Weser. Besonders erwähnen möchte ich die hervorragende Küche, vor allem, das in etwa 4-wöchigen Abstand, stattfindende Mittags-Buffet zum Sonntag. Ich kann das Haus nur empfehlen. Wir werden noch oft dort einkehren und uns verwöhnen lassen.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Restaurant Menzhausen in early December with local colleagues and it was a very enjoyable experience. Uslar is a small town and this is probably the best restaurant in it. Its part of the hotel of the same name and it also does breakfast.The menu is a very traditional menu and has a lot of local meat dishes.I started with the Geräucherte Gänsebrust an herbstlichen Salaten mit Himbeer-Vinaigrette und Kartoffelplätzchen (Smoked goose breast on autumn salads with raspberry vinaigrette and potato cookies), which was very good. For the main course I had the Rehrückenfilet A, C, H im Tramezzinimantel, Brombeersauce, Gemüse, Mandelbällchen (Venison fillet in a tramezzini coat (italian white bread), blackberry sauce, vegetables, almond balls fillet of saddle of venison in blackberry sauce, vegetables, scoop of potatoes), which was also very tasty, meat cooked medium to rare and was well presented. I had the dessert of chocolate mousse - light and not overly sweet.There's a modest wine list and not surprisingly a lot of regional wines. We had a local red which was very acceptable.I'd recommend this restaurant for business and for friends and book in advance.

Das Hotel der Familie Ackerhans ist bedenkenlos zu empfehlen. Es gibt hier sehr leckere Speisen, dafür ist das Haus über die Landesgrenzen hinaus bekannt. Verschiedene Veranstaltungen werden geboten. Die Speisekarte ist gefüllt mit regionalen Produkten, die in der Küche zu überaus leckeren Speisen hergerichtet werden. Besonders zu empfehlen ist auch das einmal jährlich stattfindende Schlachtebuffet, bei dem die Weserberglandmusikanten mit ihren Melodien anwesend sind. Aber wichtig: Vorbestellung! - Ansonsten auf der StraÃe essen. Jedes Mal ausgebucht.

Ach war das schön. Futtern wie bei Muttern, sich verwöhnen lassen. Wunderbar. Wir haben im Haupthaus gewohnt, hatten Zimmer mit Platz, schönen Betten und mit Blick auf die Landschaft. Frühstück wurde als Buffet serviert, auch hier blieben keine Wünsche offen, Marmeladensorten, Nutella, Müsli, Kaffee, Tee, Säfte, Wasser, Käse und Wurstspezialitäten, frische Tomaten, Gurken, Obst (leckere Ananasschiffchen), Eier, Rühreier und und und... das Abendessen war jedes mal ein Vier-Gänge-Menü - Suppe, Salat, Hauptgang, Dessert. Es war soooo lecker, vielen Dank dafür und es war immer reichlich. Sehr netter Service, Gruà an die Küche und danke für die kleinen Eishörnchen :)

We found this lovely place on Trip Advisor when staying in nearby Uslar, and it did seem like we were going to end up in someone's house we we eventually found it as it is tucked away, but worth the trek!The staff spoke perfect English and were very welcoming even though it was late in the evening when we arrived - the choice of menu and dishes was wide with something for everyone - the venison was lovely and the turkey salad was huge with freshly cooked turkey brought hot to the table.Would really really recommend a visit!
