Wir vom nahe gelegenen Womo Stellplatz kommend freuten uns über das tolle Angebot in dem Lokal .. leider gab es dann am Sonntag Mittag nur Frühstück.. nicht mal den Wunsch nach einer warmen Suppe könnte uns erfüllt werden... Unbegreiflich für uns als Kollegen. Die an der Wand angebotene Kürbisse wird ja nicht frisch zubereitet bei Bestellung .. sondern ist ja schon bereit...und um die zu erwärmen braucht es keinen Koch... Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung (ihr stehen sogar die rebellischen bunten Haare) Die Dame an der Kasse war schon sehr grummlig und sie hatte wohl nicht so viel Lust zu arbeiten ... Ich gebe hier ganz klar die maximale Punktzahl für den tollen Service und nicht für das Angebot ..

I had breakfast here with a friend. Although they have a nice outside sitting area we preferred to sit inside for our breakfast. We ordered from a breakfast menu and found everything we were looking for - from an extended German spread to a croissant with jam. The service was fast and friendly. The interior matches the historic outside of the building. I enjoyed this cafe very much.

I enjoyed a meal at Gastatte Reichsadler on a midweek evening with my traveling companion. We arrived to find the bar and restaurant packed. One of the servers gave us little hope of finding a place to sit for dinner. Waiting patiently, the owner (I assumed) was accommodating and found us a seat. This was not an english speaking establishment, nor the menus. We both had Schnitzels and they were generous and well prepared. The "hunters" variety was the best. Our beer choices were limited, but adequate. The prices were reasonable, especially for the portions provided. I also noted at an adjacent table that patrons were having steaks. They looked excellent for Germany! My experience has been that Germany tends to have expensive and not the best quality steaks from an American perspective. I may have to try a steak on a future trip. This is a locals place and if you are inhibited, you best not venture in if you are uncomfortable with that situation. I however highly recommend Gestate Reichsadler for good food and beverages.

Insgesamt waren der Service und Qualität gut. Mein Steak war nicht so ganz medium aber saftig. Problem war die Bezahlung... Ich war überrascht, dass keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert wird. Zum Glück hatte ich genug Bargeld dabei. Das ist nicht mehr zeitgemäÃ. Allerdings wurde mir auch Zahlung per Ãberweisung angeboten, hätte ich nicht genug bar gehabt.

I regard this as the best beer hall and eatery in Hamelin. The Krug has real character and the ambience is wonderful. The service is friendly and efficient and they serve a wide variety of traditional dishes.The rat theme fits perfectly with the whole town's theme and no matter what the weather outside, you will have a good time. I met some delightful locals and despite a language barrier managed to have a great time.A must visit.

We had a dinner in this place after a nice day walk in the historic old town. There wasn't that many real restaurants in this place outside Italian ones. Place was not crowded but I presume that the main tourist season was not on yet. I am not a big fan of pork but Germans really know how make Schnitzel. It was good. Service was absolutely nice and fast so positive note for that but it is really hard to say how it would when place is fully booked. If we are next time in Hameln, we surely will come back to Rattenfängerhaus.

So I lived in Hameln for 3 years and never knew this place existed. I visited for the first time today with family and friends and I was truly surprised. Great selection of pancakes, never knew you could have pancakes with so many different options. The environment is really relaxing and romantic. This is the type of place I can imagine relaxing with a bottle of wine and trying a pancake with a different filings.Worth a visit if you happen to be in Hameln.

We were a group of 7 on a business trip to Hanover motor show and stayed in Hameln. Had not planned evening meal and chose Zum Schultheiss based on previous reviews. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the accompaniments were typical German hearty fare. All very tasty! Staff even brought out starters on the house. Overall excellent!Zum Schultheiss has a nice beer garden surrounded by high hedges to keep it quite secluded, which seemed to have a good atmosphere going, but we stayed inside for comfort. The restaurant is located approx. 15 min walk from the pedestrianised centre of Hameln.
