Really great, relaxing place to stay - would stay there again
Reviewed By JeannnyThe Gutsalm is relatively easy to find if you are travelling to Bodenmais and following the signs. It is a little bit hills up and might be challenging during winter time to get there. But in April it wasn't an issue. Around the Gutsalm there is "nothing" except for nature, a really quiet place. It isn't a problem to park your car on an outside car park. The check in and check out worked quickly and friendly. We stayed in one of the "Wiesenhüttnhäusschen" which are a small walk (2-3 minutes) from the reception and restaurant building. They are for max. 4 people and really cute. Everything is made out of wood and the view was stunning (especially from the balcony). Ours had two rooms with a double bed in both of them and a tiny kitchen (including a fridge). It was clean, the beds were really comfortable and we enjoyed staying there. The meals in the restaurant were really fantastic and the staff was really willing to go the extra mile if you have some dietary limitations, e.g. vegan. I stayed there for a sports weekend so except for the sports classes I didn't see much but there seemed to be nice hiking tracks around. You could also use a hot tube outside (additional fee) if you'd like to do that. The only negative things I could see (which are really not that important) are that the Wifi was pretty slow so don't try watching any kind of videos ;-) and another pan, we only had one cooking pot would have been nice. But I would certainly recommend to stay there for a relaxing time!

Reviewed By Aaron DWe stayed at Hotel Karoli for Christmas last year and our stay was absolutely magical. A big thank you to owners for making us feel welcome! The breakfasts were amazing, with fresh food daily. We even were part of the Christkind breakfast - so much fun! Our room was great, the decorations very festive, and other guests super friendly. So glad the owners speak English! My wife speaks German, but I don't. Definitely recommend!

Reviewed By j_rguwepWir waren sehr positiv überrascht. Halbpension und guter Preis? Kann das passen? Passt! Zimmer sauber, natürlich etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Aber wen interessiert das? Bestimmt nicht uns. Essen war reichlich und völlig O.K.. Kommen wieder. Die zentrale Lage ist Spitze!!!

Reviewed By Misli622Sehr zentrales Hotel. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes, sauberes 3 Bett Logie. Wir hätten uns auch für eine längere Zeit wohlgefühlt. Liegt ein paar Schritte neben der Europatherme. Sehr gutes reichhaltiges Frühstück. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl.

fantastic little B & B
Reviewed By eddmacThis B & B was just perfect. I stayed here for a few months, along with a colleague while working in the area. This was definitely home from home. A beautiful breakfast each morning even though my breakfast time could be quite early some mornings. There is a superfast internet connection. Beer and wine are also available at great prices. The proprietors made me so welcome that it is hard to find the right words to reflect just how wonderful my stay here was. Thank you
