It is a self-governed city and the seat of the district administration of Wiener Neustadt-Land District. The city is the site of one of the world's oldest military academies, the Theresian Military Academy, which was established by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria in 1752 to train officers for the Austrian army.

This small, Italian restaurant is in the city centre , walking distance from main square.We booked here to celebrate my sister in law's birthday .There was some confusion about our booking and we did not have a table when we arrived but the waiter kindly offer us a drink if we wait 10 minutes.They did not even charge for these drinks.When it was clear that part of our group was Italian , a really kind and so friendly Italian cook came out from the kitchen to communicate with us ...That was so lovely , lots of laugh and chats.Food was great too.We had different pizzas and pasta.Everything was so fresh.We wanted to have a "antipasti" but there was not anything on the menu but they made us a selection of garlick bread, different cheese, salamai , ham, salad etc...it was so delicious.Guys had beer , the rest of the company had Frascatti wine .All was so good.I really recommend this restaurant to anybody who like Italian food and looking for some extra care from the service.

The percentage of seating for smokers (outside) and non-smokers (inside) is weighted heavily towards the smoker - even though they are "outside" they are still technically 'undercover' so for the non-smoker you are limited to the few seats inside. I ordered a "Cardinale" Pizza here - honestly, it was nothing special and there are better and cheaper options elsewhere in Wiener Neustadt if you want this. The interior is "trendy" but also loud and when the bill came I was glad to leave. I won't be going back - there are more affordable and better tasting food restaurants for pizza in WN and the drinks are very highly priced. Sorry, I won't be returning here.

As an ice cream lover, I couldn´t be happier when I found this place. It was amazing. Big portions for reasonable prices and so nicely served. I ordered also coffee which was delicious as well. If being in Neustadt, try it.

...ich möchte hier auf etwas ganz wichtiges hinweisen: die beiden schlechten Bewertungen der Dompizzeria datieren noch aus der Zeit der Vorbesitzerin !!! (sollten eigentlich gestrichen werden) ...denn jetzt ist es hier einfach super...Alba für uns bist du die Beste..

The Trattoria is on a corner in the center of Wiener Neustadt, just off the Marktplatz so I decided to go for a Dinner. I ordered Lasagna and a roter Spritzer against he scorching heat. Just a bit I got the wine (nice mixture ....) and the Lasagna. Which was a complete dissapointment. I don't know what they did to it but is was a salty lump (the pasta hardly discernible from the stuffings) of something with some almost burned cheese over it.Very bad and really small - obviously I didn't want to try my luck with anything else so I went for some three scoops of icecream to the Griessler aroudn the corner!

A must be, if you like the italian cuisine.The Ambient is a little bit spartan, but you aren't here to experience the furnishings.You are here for real italian flavour.When you come into the small and hidden Restaurant, you will get overwhelmed by the Boss itself, who is still serving his guests, personal and with some help of his Wife Margret.If you aren't sure what you want to eat (which Pizza), just order a "Sorpresa". The Cook will then surprise you with a Pizza. In my Opinion, its the best Pizzeria in this area, and the best within an radius of 60 Kilometers.JUST TRY IT.

I opted for the daily menu @ â¬8.50 which was zuppa ai funghi and salmon alla grillia today. Both were delicious and definitely also worth the regular a la carte price. Fast and friendly service!Of course we finished lunch with an espresso and expected an Italian roast. What we got was an espresso from Daniel Moser roast which is a key figure in the Viennese coffee tradition, roasted right here in Wiener Neustadt. Unless an Italian meal isn't complete for you without an espresso from the typical dark roast beans, this is a quite interesting alternative.
