A few days break....fantastic
Reviewed By Peter MWe spent just 2 nights here, it was bitterly cold and wrapping up was the order of the day. However the warmth of Ursula and the immaculate condition of our room was wonderful. The most comfortable of beds, ever facility possible was to hand, microwave, kettle, as much tea and coffee as any two people could want. A refrigerator, iron, hair dryer (not that I need one) etc etc Our stay was incredible value and has whet our appetite for another visit come summer time. Did I mention Lough Rea lake, just 40m away, a stunning vista in any weather

Extremely disappointing
Reviewed By WindsorAMStayed here whilst over for a friend's wedding and I have to say that I was really disappointed almost from start to finish. Considering the price and image of the hotel, the quality throughout was really rather poor. I had booked a deluxe double room- which turned out to be a room with two single mattresses pushed together. These would separate throughout the night which was a pain. The duvet cover didn't do up and would also come off over the course of the night. Whilst the room was clean on arrival, the cleaning during the stay wasn't great. the bin wasn't emptied, the tea and coffee not refreshed, and the bed not even made properly on one of the days. The TV didn't work which was frustrating, and the shower curtain rail was crooked and unsteady when trying to have a shower. Breakfast was included but, considering the usual quality of food in Ireland, was really very disappointing and felt like it have been loaded on from a buffet out the back. I tried to order food from room service on the first evening as I had arrived quite late, but was told that there was no food after 9pm- despite it saying on the menu that it was possible to order sandwiches at this time. Use of the spa is at an extra cost, but was fairly pointless as there was no pool or gym facilities and the facilities that were there seemed to be outdated and in need of maintenance. With all of this put together, I honestly felt like I had stayed in countless budget hotels with better facilities/standards and, considering my expectations, It was just so disappointing. The staff were lovely as I would expect from anytime I have been in the country, but they couldn't cover up the fact that the hotel itself was not up to standards.

Very very disappointing
Reviewed By patrickc12hakfwbxaI visited the meadow court recently and was very disappointed with the lack of entertainment on the TV. I asked the manager did the hotel have sky sports to which I was told no as it was too expensive. I found this a pathetic excuse as this day in age nearly all premises that serve alcohol has sky sports for all the sports. The receptionist was walking around behind the bar with coffee which came across very unprofessional as well. Will not return as I was informed when I rang the hotel prior to arrival that there was sky sports shown in the hotel. The hotel is way behind their competitors in the loughrea hotel where I enjoyed the rest of my evening watching sport at the bar. Will not be returning

The Lancer Mullagh
Reviewed By Cormac LA quaint experience in Mullagh, Galway. The local phrases of “Shave a Bullock” and “Up Mullagh” are symptomatic of a unique experience. Breakfast served daily with chef Noel’s chips as he describes as “them are chunky chips” with tales of those who are “thinking with their DICKS” whilst in Ardcrony. A must for those looking for an authentic experience in the heat of rural Ireland.

A quick bite
Reviewed By gemmad946We attended The Auld Triangle yesterday when we were in Loughrea. 2 adults 2 teens and a preschooler. The bar is clean bright and we'll presented. We were sat at a nice table and there was a nice pub lunch vibe about the place . We were seen to quickly and we ordered from what was a nice menu. I asked for chicken wings as a main rather than a starter to be told this couldn't be done. I then ordered the chicken breast burger with no sauce . Burger arrived and it looked super however it was covered in sauce. I then informed the waitress who took it to the kitchen. My family were eating away so I asked for just soup as the food was clearly cooked from fresh which is super but I didn't want to be still eating when they were finished. We then ordered dessert and when I asked for a kids ice-cream and jelly I was told that couldn't be done . So when I asked why there was no reply the girl just said she would ask the kitchen again. We did get a kids portion. Food was nice overall but I just felt uncomfortable having to send back food and ask a waitress to go back to see if smaller /child portion
