Rumi Wilco is an Ecolodge sustaining a Nature Reserve, located a 15- minute walk away to Vilcabamba´s center. You may stay and use/enjoy all our facilities or just visit the self-guided trail system; a contribution of $2 p/p is expected from non-guests for its self-maintenance. Accommodations: Pole House, private woden cabin by the river, with kitchen: $40/ 2 persons-- $45/ 3 persons-- $48/ 4 persons.. 3 River Cabins, with kitchens, $36/ 2 persons.--$40/ 3 persons--$44/ 4 persons. Adobe Houses, 4 shared rooms for 2-3 persons each, 3 shared bathrooms and a Kitchen: $10 p/p, and a Mini-apartment, $23 with private kitchen. Camping area with kitchen, bathroom/hot shower , $5 p/p with your tent. There is Wi Fi, drinking water, BBQ ring, in all the locations, and a great trail system inside the Nature Reserve, included.
Best place to stay for peace and nature
Reviewed By nobloodyideaI loved the comfort and isolation of the accommodation only 10 or 15 minutes walk from town. So many walking trails and the sound of the rushing river and birdsong. I extended my stay and could have stayed much longer if the desire to be in town for convenience hadn't won me over.

Reviewed By freedomrecallThe place is well located and the rooms are ok, but it doesn't really balance the unfriendliness of the day staff (night staff was completely friendly and nice, but you don't really deal with them). It seems that anything you might ask is a matter of disturbance. I came by for breakfast (included in the price) at 8. The ladies made me understand that they were busy having a conversation and I was bothering. So I came back at 10:15, but it was too late. Only until 10:00. And this, obviously said on a totally unfriendly tone. In the afternoon I asked for a coffee (kitchen serves as a restaurant during the day and there is coffee on the menu), I've been told there is no coffee. The place was completely empty during my whole stay (2 nights), the restaurant as well, and I can understand why. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

One of Loja’s Best Kept Secrets
Reviewed By TerrymcanadaA friend in Loja told me about this place so we dropped in for a visit. One could almost miss the modest doorway off the street. The lobby consists of a multi-storey light filled space where artwork and artifacts are thoughtfully displayed. We were greeted by a friendly host who invited us to tour the building. There are only five rooms on three levels around around the courtyard. If I return to Loja I would definitely stay here.

Reviewed By PoKe BEn nuestra ruta por Ecuador, nos toco en fin de semana visitar Loja. Tras una llamada no tenían habitaciones y nos bajo el precio de un suite. Los únicos peros serían los cristales de las ventanas que eran muy finos y entraba el ruido de la calle y el desayuno que para nuestro entender empezaba tarde, a las 7 y media, en un país que amanece sobre las 6. La habitación era muy amplia con una cama de mas de dos metros. Desayuno completo y servicio muy amable. Tienen café y té durante todo el dia.

Basic city hotel convenient for Loja airport
Reviewed By MikeBirdmanThe best feature is that it was convenient for Loja airport for an early morning flight. Had good wifi in the room. Functional hotel and was clean and my room had AC. The bathroom was small but ok. The room was smelly when I arrived, i discovered a container of left over takeout food in the closet. I put that outside and that dealt with the issue

On the Ande's Cordillera, hosteria at 1500 mt on the sea level, with swimming pool, turco y Jacuzzi, Ecuatorian cooking, great garden with plants and flowers, wonderful air and incredible panoramic from the terrace on the National Park of Podocarpus, all the rooms have private bath and warm water, restaurant and grill.

Reviewed By Melissa SThis place has the BEST steam room! And their pool is amazing! The rooms are comfortable and clean with lovely showers (and lots of hot water). The owner is super accommodating, and you'll always meet fun and interesting people staying here!

Reviewed By 742daysilFuimos mi Grupo de compañeros de la Universidad a pedir alojamiento se suponía que nos avisaron que habían habitaciones dobles y triples pero a la hora de llegar nos querían meter a todos en un cuarto a 13 compañeros mios la verdad no nos agrado esa situación y decimos marcharnos, pero antes de eso ya habíamos dado un adelanto sin saber que iba a suceder esa situación pero quisimos dialogar con los encargados quedamos en un acuerdo ni ellos perdían ni nostros así que decidimos cenar en el lugar y esperar que nos realicen la devolución de la mitad del dinero, después de todo ya habíamos llegado a un acuerdo pero ellos después se isieron los locos no querían cumplir con lo acordado y tuvimos que pedir ayuda policial ya que se pusieron necios y groseros la verdad me pareció una falta de respeto y porque nos vieron que eran estudiantes y nos querían ver la cara la atención no fue buena.

The food was so fresh and really really tasty! The setting was super beautiful as well! Can't thank them enough and would 100% recommend anyone who loves nature to stay here!

Bon hébergement si l'on n'est pas hypersensible au bruit de la rue
Reviewed By Cruiser662454J'ai passé 1 nuit dans cet hôtel, entre 2 trajets en bus, dans une chambre double avec sdb privée. L'hôtel est très bien placé, à proximité de la place centrale (5 mn à pied) et juste à côté d’un arrêt de bus pour le terminal. Par contre, les chambres donnent sur une grande avenue, donc on entend pas mal le bruit des voitures en raison de la mauvaise insonorisation des fenêtres. Mais avec des boules quies, cela ne m'a pas empêchée de bien dormir. Tout le reste est très bien, et propre. La chambre est agréable et assez grande. Presence de rangements, de tables de nuit avec lampes de chevet, d’une petite table, d’une chaise et même d’un frigo. Le matelas est confortable. La salle de bain dispose d'eau chaude avec pression. Serviette de toilette, savon et shampooing fournis. Bon WiFi. Possibilité de check-out tôt. La gérante et son employé sont très sympathiques. Si je devais repasser par Loja, je pense que je reviendrais dans cet hôtel.
