Limburg Province Hotels | Places to Stay in Limburg Province

Situated on the Dutch border, Limburg is the easternmost province in Flanders, and the foremost fruit-growing region in the country. The lively, friendly market town of Hasselt is the provincial capital. It boasts a car-free historic center, with building dating back as far as the 11th century. Genk is another recommended stop. The city of 63,000 people is home to a zoo, a planetarium, De Maten nature reserve and Bokrijk, an open-air museum of 19th century Flemish architecture.

Midweek away from home

Reviewed By Jeroen W

Due to the COVID19 situation it wasn't possible to travel far from home. We found this lovely place, child friendly with welness. The first night we enjoyed the home delivered food from a restaurant not to far away. The room was provided with a table and chairs perfect for a dinner in the room. The second night we ordered food in the Hoeve and we must say it was very good. This combined with 2 healthy but sturdy breakfasts makes this place a place to come back to. Definitly would recommend for young families with children!

disappointment

this old but full renovated hotel is a bit over rated unfortunately - we have been seduced by the pictures but were disappointed by the reality - there are many rooms in the hotel but we had one where it was like the people in the hall ways were in our room ! so noisy !! cleaning could be much better - the restaurant was fully booked but we had a table later during the evening and that also was a disappointment !! - it s expensive for what it is - that said the staff is extremely friendly and helpful - - if it wasn t for them i would have given a lesser score - free locked bicycle parking - if you don t have a car it s really far away from the genk city center

The hotel overlooks a pleasant inner courtyard and the ground's extensive wooded gardens, which can also be booked for private or corporate events.

A surprisingly enriching experience for a short stay “somewhere in Flanders.”

From a quiet and beautiful location, over friendly staff, to a good breakfast offer, the hotel has certainly delivered on the expectations. The wellness space was sufficient for some quite family moments even amidst Belgian school holidays. The neighbouring areas offer wonderful walking routes from local castles (e.g. Alden Biesen) and monasteries (e.g. Herkenrode Abbey), over Munsterbilzen forests, to Zonhoven marches. The neighbouring Bilzen, Hoeselt, Tongeren offer a surprisingly lush restaurant scene. Add to it Hasselt, the heart of Limburg province that sits a short drive away, but also Maastricht, with all its history and culture, and you are set for a surprisingly enriching experience for a short stay “somewhere in Flanders.”

Nice hotel to visit Tongeren

Reviewed By HADESJE

Located centrally in Tongeren and as neighbour of the antique market, this hotel is ideal to stay and visit the city and the market. The room was clean and luxury. Only in the shower there was an unpleasant smell (room not used for a long time due to covid?). The check-in was very friendly and you are offered a glass of bubbles, when we told them we don't drink alcohol, they were flexible and offered something non-alcoholic. The breakfast was good, you have enough choice to start your day and once again, you can drink bubbles (cava).

Something different from the chain hotels

I stayed for one night for business and enjoyed the place. its clean, modern and smart, staff were super friendly, polite and helpful, its reasonable value and food was very good. Not so keen on the glass panels seperating the bathroom from bedroom (fine if you are staying alone!) and i wasn't keen on the shelf above the bed which i smacked my head on twice, but apart from that its a nice, different place.

Nice hotel with beautiful view of the city, Nice and close to everything you could do in Hasselt. We had a new room, a lot of natural light and space. The extra bed was a travel bed that was very small and not worth paying for. It was bad! A lot of noise outside the hotel, starting around 7 in the morning. Also working on the sky loung started very early and Wher noticed in the hotel. The swimming pool was not clean an very old.
