We enjoyed this restaurant so much we went twice in our week in Le Buge. Beautiful position, overlooking the river and the outside balcony would be ideal in warm weather. The weather being cool, we found inside very cosy. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and the proprietor made a point of introducing himself and welcoming us on the first evening. We chose the 23.50 euro set menu both times. This includes a garlic soup, a choice of three entrees ( the fois gras was delicious), a choice of about five mains, the local cheese served warm with honey and a choice of their delicious desserts. We all enjoyed all of our choices each time. The price is great value for such good quality food and the helpings are quite substantial. The restaurant is open for lunch most days and dinner on just Friday and Saturday. A great find. It is just a few steps from the main roundabout past the old covered market.

Went here for a drink. Felt like we were a nuisance. No one else there. Not made to feel welcome at all. Had been past many times and thought it looked nicer. So glad we didn't waste our money by going for a meal.

Have visited this place over the last 10 years when under various managements. Now somebody new has taken over and boy does it show. Local dishes using top notch fresh ingredients and prepared with care and flair. Highly recommended.

We came here because tripadvisor said it was still open at 13:45 (until 15:00 actually). The plate outside said 14:30 so that was already confusing, but the waiter started laughing when we came in in an 'ofcourse not' fashion. Worthless.

We had lunch at l'Abreuvoir and it was very nice. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. The crepes were good.

On our third time of trying my wife and I managed to book a table the other times the restaurant was fully booked.
The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful, the menu is mainly duck based, my wife ask for an alternative as she doesn't like duck and was given chicken which was very nice however when she tried a small piece of my duck she really liked it, I thought it taste more like fillet steak it was melt in your mouth beautiful.
Having eat at Les Truffieres I now know why it's so hard to get a table even in September. We will definitely return if we can get a table

We were traveling in the Perigord for a family event and we stopped at Le Bugue for dinner. Following the recommendations, we saw on Tripadvisor we went to Chai Monique and we were not disappointed. We ordered for some 'charcuteries' and for 2 tartines which were really fresh & delicious. This was probably too much. The proposed wine, from the region was very good. Monique was very nice with us and on the top of some good food we spent a really good moment for a reasonable price.

Lovely cool Terrace, space for flatcoat retriever to cool down after very enjoyable walk around the Limeuil Gardens (well worth a visit). Service was welcoming (staff spoke English to those who did not make the effort!). A good fixed price menu, both pichet wine and an excellent wine list. Building is fascinating - we would like to stay there on a return visit.

Located in grounds & buildings of abbey
We were recommended to this restaurant by Village de Constant (the HPB site).
The first time we arrived, without booking, the restaurant was fully booked but we were invited to eat outside, which was very enjoyable. The food, the service, the wine, were all superb, so much so that we booked to return when again the restaurant was full! The waiters speak English, and were very welcoming and keen to explain all the dishes. A real find.

Couleurs CAFE is a restaurant located in an ancient walnut mil of the "BLACK PERIGORD NOIR". Greedy, original and creative cooking using traditional products. Terrace from spring to automn and pleasure of the cheminey in winter.
This restaurant was a recommendation and it certainly didn't disappoint. We sat outside which was lovely but slightly chilly so light blankets were available to take away the chill. Food was absolutely superb and service was excellent. If you are looking for something a bit special its worth a visit. They also had a non smoking area outside which made a very welcome change.
