A nice place to spend the night.

We had two queen size beds, good coffee machine/selection and a small fridge. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. We had a "take away" breakfast supplied the next morning. Although it is close to the train tracks and main road we found it was quiet. Would stay again. Nothing fancy but certainly met our needs and we felt safe and comfortable. The owners are very nice and made us feel welcome. We would stay again, only wish it had more of a kitchenette. There is a great bakery just down the street with amazing baked goods and bread.

Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge and Restaurant

The Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge and Citadella Restaurant is situated well above Radium Hot Springs with the BEST view in town. We have panoramic view from every and EACH private balcony, even from the lower floor. Our Hungarian Restaurant is under the motel, with a huge patio, also with a magnificent view and the most delicious meals in an idyllic atmosphere. You can see the Rocky Mountains from everywhere in town, from all the motels, but it is not comparable to our view, just like you see it from an airplane or a bird's eye. Room price includes hot breakfast served in our restaurant with a variety of items to find your favorite one. It is not a buffet, rather a freshly served breakfast made by our Hungarian Chef, just like our dinners. We have an extensive menu for the evening meals, a variety of Hungarian, western and vegetarian dishes. You can watch the sunset while dining or from your private balcony, and the sunrise from your bed if you wish. We have pet friendly and wheelchair accessible suites on the main floor. All rooms have sitting area, new queen beds, new carpets, fridge, microwave and free WIFI. We can provide coffee makers or cattle's in your room.We are located a 1000feet over town by the National Park with all sorts of wildlife frequently walking by. A trail trough the forest starts from our parking lot to the Mineral Hot Springs. We, the owners clean the rooms, so they are spotlessly clean and we serve you in the restaurant as well, very friendly hospitality.

Unbeatable views from a comfy room

Reviewed By Robby_Cristian

Very comfortable accommodation with outstanding view over the Columbia Valley and village of Radium. Our room was well aerated, sparkling clean with a comfy mattress for an easy sleep. It would be nicer if: breakfast (continental) would start earlier, another toaster be added, ‘cause everyone line up to one toast machine at 8:00 am to get a piece of bread toasted. A small investment with a significant customer experience impact.

We stay at Motel Tyrol every year for Victoria Day for the past 10 years. We came here with our children dejen they were little kids and we come with them now when they are in their 20 and everyone enjoys this cozy motel with the outdoor heated pool. The water now is really warm since the current owner replaced the heater last year. convenient location with beautiful view of the mountains. Strongly recommend this motel for people of all ages.

EXTREMELY IMPRESSED! Start this review off with our arrival, the lady at the front desk was very friendly every time she saw us she was kind and checked if we needed anything, this motel had spacious parking and we came with a large truck. Moving up to the room I was very happy when we walked in, updated and modern it was very welcoming the kitchenette had EVERY thing you would need all the way to a little slow cooker. I have to point out the bed side lamp SO COOL you can charge your phone on the base and it had colorful lights on the bottom you could change. The sleigh beds were very comfortable and they had big comfy pillows which is always great. The bathroom was set up perfect with a cloth specifically for makeup removal (This is great! I hate damaging white towels) the shower gels and lotions provided were even a great product. The motel is in a quiet location just steps away from the main street, it's also right around the corner from the best little pizza place. They have a cute sitting area outside with a gazebo which was perfect to have your coffee under in the morning or grill some food in the evening on the BBQ. We had a couple drinks on the balcony which had surprisingly comfy seats and inside the community area they had a huge tv which was awesome to watch the hockey game on. We will definitely return to this motel in the future 10/10 !!

Super clean room, friendly and super helpful staff and great location!

Reviewed By 368carolynl

We had a room with 2 beds which was super clean and tidy, with a fridge and microwave, coffee maker, table and chairs. The beds were well decorated and the sheets were soft and sparkling white and smelled mountain fresh as were the towels! The mountain photos in the rooms were taken by the owner's grandfather so a very nice personal touch. The owner was great when we phoned and gave us some dining information when we booked our room. There is also a patio with tables and umbrellas as well as BBQs for using and a gazebo. Great rates too! I would highly recommend staying here.

Room smelled of cigarettes

Reviewed By Calcanuck

Rustic but I was expecting that based on other reviews. The room was a nice size. Large bathroom with a window so there was lots of natural light. Window was appreciated because there was an overpowering smell of old cigarette smoke in the room. Asked to be assigned a different room but we were told they were fully booked. We were able to air it out a bit with the window in the bathroom on the back side of the room and the window on the front in the main part of the room. Disappointed that a non smoking facility (signs all over the property stating that it is non smoking) would have rooms that smelled like they’d been smoked in everyday for the last twenty years. Will stay somewhere else if we return to Cranbrook.

Very comfortable one night stay on the way south

Reviewed By Lucywestie

We were taking our first trip south of the border since before Covid and were driving from Calgary. Picked this hotel based on location (3 hour driving distance from home and only 2 hours to final destination) and the reviews. We left late in the day and arrived around 330pm. Really friendly and easy check in and then round the back to our ground floor room. We had a double queen bed room and both beds were extremely comfy. The room was spotless with good bedding and good tv channels etc. Bathroom had a very deep soaker style tub which we didnt use but it looked very inviting. Nice and quiet overnight stay before moving on in the morning. Its on the main highway through town but rooms are at the back and we didn't hear a thing. Approximately 1 minute drive north of hotel there is a Starbucks, Tim's and Mcdonalds so all your varied coffee requirements are covered! We ate in town at The Brickhouse bar. Excellent flatbread and huge bowl of home cut fries. Staff were very friendly and it was a great dining experience for two tired travellers. Next trip south we will definitely be booking a stay at this hotel.

Included breakfast not that great

Reviewed By johnmI6764DG

We stayed at the 'Radium Chalet' for one night. Only complaint is about the included breakfast. Choice is pretty limited and the hard boiled eggs were a little suspect as the yoke was pretty black. Worst was the very dirty cutlery which was wet and very visible bits of food stuck to them. I had to pass over several forks, spoons and knives before finding a reasonably clean one. Not impressed.

Enjoyed a pleasant stay, room was as advertised with kitchen, coffee, comfortable beds, nice clean rooms.
