It is the second largest town in the state after Sungai Petani based on the population and one of the important cities in the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia along the longest expressway, located 400 km from Kuala Lumpur and 79 km (49 mi) north of George Town, Penang. Came here for breakfast on the 3rd day of CNY as I was staying at a hotel nearby. The place was packed and the service was terrible. There seems to be no proper system in running the restaurant. The food presentation was terrible and the taste for most dishes is below average. The floor are dirty and the tables are not properly cleaned and set up. Probably it was the CNY rush and everything was done in a rush too.Pricing wise is OK.However, the restaurant is nicely decorated.

A surprising restaurant in Alor setar, serves western food and owner special recipe. Fantastic Atmosphere , the service crews are friendly. A great variety of wine. Prices are reasonable.

With my family in law we went to this restaurant, the weather was fine so we choose a table in the covered terrace area. The furniture is what we call in Europe garden furniture, simple plastic chairs and round plastic tables. The place and furniture were clean. 4/5. The restaurant has also an airondioned area for the very hot days, de disadvantage is this area is extremely noisy. We ordered the fried fish steamboat dish, the owners allowed us to add our own fish balls, squid, taufoou and and vegetables. The soup dish is full of the mixed flavours, very tasty. 4/5. The service is friendly, flexible and helpfully. 4/5. As so often we spent again a cosy family evening. With 5 persons we spent Ringgit 120, very reasonable price for the dishes and service.

Crave for HALAL dim sum especially in northern area and with the same touch of a specialist chinese chef...travel to Grand Alora and enjoy the food. The choices is great and taste is simply delicious. The restaurant setting is high class setting but with the price which is so affordable you will come back for more.I would give an excellent remarks but somehow on that night which is 29th September 2018 ,the male waiter ...which I believe the only male waiter was so noisy and having a big mouth complaining to the other waitresses about the other customer sitting on the front table. I was seating at the back table which my family and I feel so uncomfortable listening to him.

This street restaurant is specialized with promfret or garoupa fish with fried radish. Their kangkong fried vegetable is really one of the best I have tasted. The rest of the food like chicken and various other vegetable preparations and drinks are really great. This street restaurant service is really good. Friendly waiters, cooks and supervisors. Highly recommend this restaurant next to Hotel Grand Crystal and you can never go wrong with whatever yu order here.

this restaurant is a great interpretation of European classic cafe'. As matter of fact, the restaurant/cafe' introduces plenty of coffee varietals plus a wide choice of products from the bakery to go along with your favourite coffee brew. the ambience is very comfortable and they jazz music in the background makes you feel you are not going to move any time soon. Prices are slightly higher than a normal local coffee house but certainly lower than more famous American coffee franchised operations

We are driving from South Thailand back to KL and decided to detour to Alor Setar for dinner , came to know about this restaurant from TripAdvisor and gave it a try . The restaurant owner recommended us a few dishes to try which was tasty and delicious . So far so good
