I also read some review from fellow train travellers who gave excellent reviews on this place and how helpful they are. I want to say good things like the others, but I experience differently. Here is my review. 1. I went alone and arrive late at night, so I messaged them on agoda asking if they could arrange a taxi for me. No reply! I emailed them, no reply! So I whatsapp the number on their website. He said 'of course,of course anything write to me' 'we are used to having traveller from dogu train' 'dont worry,we will send taxi'. You see from my point, I am anxious because I will arrive late at night (1.30am) because the train will delay as expected and I am alone. I also messaged him 40mins before I arrive - no reply. Called his whatsapp no, no pick up. Then, I called the hotel --- nothing can be done because... the hotel reception said 'NO ENGLISH'! That was what the hotel said! What am I suppose to do in a phone call? I cant even use a translation app through a call! So what was the point of the earlier engagement with the whatsapp? Fake politeness and hospitality! 2. When I ARRIVE, I read reviews they were nice and welcoming with a smile- what smile? I was not given any short info on my stay or wifi, nothing. 3. The room - was minimal. A place to sleep, fairly clean. Which is fine for me. 4. Wifi is not connectable,almost non existent- so make sure you have ample phone data. 5. Breakfast - basic and ok. Palatable. ok. 6. I do notice they are more attentive and 'nice' during the day when the boss is around - but I was already upset to even be nice to people at this point. 7. I gave them a second chance and being open to kindness during the check-out; but no, didnt offer to help with bags, then took so long to check-out. I am the type to research and read all these reviews before making decisions, and usually I would agree, but this time, NOPE. I am telling this for people to expect the imprefection. However, listen, POSITIVELY, if you are looking for somewhere just to rest ONLY ; and near to the station, this is it. The location is great with nearby restaurants, grocery shops, etc. The unmetered taxi from station to the hotel is 20TL one way. Please improve where you can, and dont give false hope or false assurance anymore and pls walk the talk. Reviewed By Kc NJe suis venu pour 5 nuitées en famille avec des amis, nous avons l’habitude de séjourner a Sarikamis, une merveille Turque. Des la récente ouverture du Yakupoglu, J’avais hâte de me faire un avis après tout le bien que j’avais entendu de la part de différents directeurs d'Hotels dans les quels nous avons séjourné auparavant et qui sont devenus de véritables amis . Et je n’ai pas été déçu. L’arrivée se passe comme il se doit dans un hôtel de charme. On se fait tout de suite prendre en charge dès la sortie de l'Aéroport de Kars et on s’occupe de nous avec une extrême gentillesse. Après les formalités et l’arrivée en chambre, nous avons été au spa. Très bien tenu, superbe piscine intérieure et les mesures de sécurité Covid sont respectées. Le souper dans la salle vous transporte dans l'hospitalité traditionnelle Turque, simplicité dans un certain raffinement et service impeccable. Le buffet souper inclus dans la demi-pension ne manque de rien et correspond aux hôtels de charme. Le petit-déjeuner se révèle à la hauteur du reste. Magnifique. Un des meilleurs hôtels visités dans la région, largement en dessus de certains autres 5 étoiles. Le Spa le plus complet et le Hammam le plus mignon autour de Sarikamis, Pour un nouvel hôtel, le service sort de ses gongs pour vous faire plaisir, Réception, Food & Beverages, House Keeping, service voiture de l'hôtel au télésiège, le tea time de 4 heure, La formidable propreté vous font vraiment sentir en famille...Et bien sure un remerciement particulier à Faruk et Madame, les merveilleux Hôtes de ces prémices hors du commun, encore merci pour tout ce que vous avez fait pour rendre notre séjour inoubliable.

I'm going to be honest. This hotel sucks and it's far from "Grand."
Reviewed By Jacob FI would not recommend staying here in this hotel at all. When I checked in to my room, I noticed that the air conditioner did not work. it was blowing air, but it was hot, humid, and very uncomfortable. The water in my room was all jacked up. When I turned on the sink in the bathroom, water shot horizontally out of the faucet and all over me. I had to turn the faucet on with the lowest pressure just to avoid getting water splashed all over me. When I came back in later in the evening, my friend's room was fine, air conditioner was on full blast and it was pleasant. My room, not so much. The water was not working. Just bubbling noises coming from the pipes under the bathroom floor. I called the front desk to tell them there was no water: solution? They brought me two bottles of water. I called the front desk again, and I was told to wait ten minutes, then they came up and made a phone call and the water came back on, but again, when they turned it on, the water shot out horizontally, rather than going into the sink. When they saw me watching this, they quickly turned off the sink and redirected my attention to the air conditioner, which was still not cooling the room. The man opened the window and told me "natural air conditioner..." They eventually gave up and asked me if I wanted tea. No, I don't want tea. I want the air conditioner to work so I don't have to wake up in a puddle of sweat in the middle of the night. I want the water in the sink to work properly, rather than spray water all over me. After giving up and realizing that nothing was going to be done, I decided to call it a day. Unfortunately, I woke up to knocking at the door: the maintenance technician came to fix the air conditioner, but he didn't want to come in the room? I told him to wait so I could get dressed and allow him to come in the room, but he decided rather to leave and forget about it altogether. So there you have it, ineffective water and air conditioning. I really think that for the price I paid, these are room amenities which I should have. I really think that for the price I paid, their solutions to the problems i brought to their attention, well they were just not adequate. I'm not impressed with this hotel at all; I wish I had stayed elsewhere. I would not recommend staying here in this hotel at all. You've been warned.

Reviewed By Bostjan RThe best feature of this hotel is the amazing personnel. I was traveling by motorbike and had to stop here, owing to a problem with my bike. The personnel did everything possible to help me and managed to make my stay comfortable. Besides, the hotel is located at a very good spot, right in the city center, it’s clean and provides a very good price quality ratio. I would definitely recommend it!
