Nice big rooms
Reviewed By RS012The hotel is located in a narrow street about 10 minutes walk from the river / fortress, it has a small parking if you need one. We booked a standard room which was big enough and had a desk with PC (which can be screened also on the TV). The reception stuff does not speak English at all but we managed to communicate using google translate. As for the breakfast - better skip it, it is VERY basic, you can find better options at one of places nearby.

This is a motel with no bedsheets
Reviewed By tripchoyaIt was a last minute decision to stay here to enjoy the Jinju lantern festival. We were encouraged by positive reviews on Tripadvisor. When we arrived, there was nobody at reception so we had to wait. When we checked in finally, we were shown to our room, and then realized they had no bedsheets. Tried to express this to the owner, but she seemed very confused despite showing pictures of what we needed. Finally she said 'ah this is motel not hotel (and therefore we don't provide sheets)'. So we stayed the night with no bedsheets. In the morning the bathroom smelled slightly bad - sewage smell. We got out of there as fast as we could.

Great Location for Lantern Festival
Reviewed By Jennifer SWe stayed here in October for the Lantern Festival. It was myself, husband, and 2 children. Hotel was clean. Room was small but we expected that. Coffee and toast were offered in the lobby. Hotel owner was very nice. His son speaks excellent English and helped us find a place to eat for dinner and breakfast. No complaints!

Good location
Reviewed By Andrew ERight opposite the Nam river, this motel is well situated for good views and would be a perfect location for the lantern festival. It is a budget motel so you get what you pay for - clean room, comfortable bed, sizable bathroom but no safe for valuables. It is very close to the intercity bus terminal (3 mins walk) for travel to Mt Jirisan and Ssanggyesa Temple (transfer at Hadong with trip taking 2 hours). The KTX station is a short Won 7,000 taxi ride - download a map and the motel name in Korean to assist taxi drivers. While little English is spoken at the motel you can call the national tourist assistance line. The owner was very helpful to me - he drove me to the tourist office at the Fortress (very impressive and well worth a visit) when he had run out of English maps.

A Children's Day Getaway
Reviewed By BibimyeoTwo friends and I decided to take a road trip. We traveled down south to Namhae, but spent the night in Jinju, because according to online searches, Namhae was sold out. Movie Motel in Jinju was affordable and had rooms available for travel dates. The rooms were decent motel rooms, amenities were good. There's a water dispenser in each room, a mini fridge, a wide-screen tv and computer, and full bath. Each of our rooms came with a double bed. Patrons also receive a toiletries pouch upon check-in. The check-in time is a little later than hotel check-ins and check-out also a little earlier, but that was no problem for us. It was a place to stay and we each had our own rooms. Our rooms were all street-side and though it was quiet, there were bright lights from surrounding and our building signs. Yes, there were curtains. Using our navigator app, we found the Motel easily. Parking was provided but is quite limited. If you park and are blocking someone, you'll be asked to leave your keys for someone to move your car when necessary. This happened to us and was fine. There is street parking in the neighborhood too. What I really wanted to promote here, was the lady who assisted us, Susan. She spoke great English. She had lived overseas for a year, she told us. She was very very helpful overall during our stay, friendly and smiling often.:) It was a pleasant surprise to us that she spoke English so well and was really helpful. When we arrived in Jinju, it was past dinner time, around 7:30. We needed to eat something. Susan took us to a wall in the stairwell where they had food recommendations posted in a nice way to see what kind of food (fish, beef, chicken, noodles, etc.). She was very helpful in helping us decide where to go. We followed her suggestion to walk to the restaurant using the app, she typed the place in for us. The restaurant was packed and we had to wait a while for a table. The food was good. The next day, she suggested visiting the Jinju fortress. We followed that suggestion, again using the navigation app, with her help.:) We drove to see where it was and went in search of a bakery to buy breakfast. We found a really great bakery with a wide assortment of cookies, breads, pastries, etc. This was a local bakery, not a franchise bakery. An older man helped us. We were overwhelmed with choices because we hadn't seen any such place where we live. The prices were good and products delicious!:) From there it was back to the fortress to eat breakfast (in the car) and a morning walk around the old fortress. It was beautiful to see in the early morning (8-10am) and quite a lot of Korean visitors. This was the conclusion to our Jinju visit. The photos are some views of and from the fortress, and one of the bakery, which was also in a market area. I hope this review will be helpful to other travelers in Korea.

Great customer service

It happened to be during the Lantern Festival, which was an awesome experience. The motel was as we expected - basic, but clean. Good value, and conveniently located if you don't mind walking a few blocks. The service we received from the owners / managers of this motel was excellent and made the stay - they could not have been more helpful or accommodating. And the free popcorn went down a treat. I'd definitely stay again for a short stop-over in Jinju.
