We ate here often - both lunch and dinner. It is a traditional taverna which serves huge portions from a very varied menu. All the food we had was top quality and attractively presented. The prices are very reasonable and the service extremely good. We recommend you try some of the fish dishes as they are terrific! thank you Koutouki!!!

It is hard to find good food and service at the same time. This family business combines both: friendly approach and AMAZING food! All previous reviews are 100% true! Only 5 minutes away from the city of Lefkada (3 km), you will taste the best home-made food! Feel free to ask for the daily specialties (they change it every day) and look forward for the sweet treat in the end! Ideal for families with kids. Would visit again with great pleasure!

We visited this small cozy restaurant and were pleasantly surprised!!! The owners were super nice and very welcoming. The restaurant is located right by the sea, couldnât ask for better location. Food was delicious. I had the sea bass, my husband had the âbakaliaroâ along with a saganaki, xorta and a Greek salad. Everything was delicious. Service was awesome and very attentive. I am so glad we chose this restaurant!!

We discovered this beach bar and were so glad we did. It is right on a great beach which is safe for all types of swimmers. You are able to select from different types of umbrellas and beach lounges. You can pay 30 euro, 10 euro or 6 euro depending on your preference. The 30 euro set includes two coffees and water. The other prices are just for the set. Whatever you order is extra.The sea is calm and great for kids to play as it is very safe. The sea is crystal clear and refreshing.The music is great as are most of the staff.You may need water shoes because initially the beach has a few pebbles.You are able to purchase food and drinks throughout the day. We would recommend the club sandwich.Our group of ten visited this beach bar 3 times because we thoroughly enjoyed spending the whole day at the beach in comfort.

We had an unbelievable meal at Maria's Tavern this week. Maria (host and cook) and her daughter run the restaurant out of Maria's home, which has a tree growing through the main dining deck outside (she also has a two-table deck upstairs). We knew we would be eating what Maria chose to prepare that night, and what a feast it was! From Greek salads with vegetables grown in her garden, to flaky crusted squash pie, to the best tzatsiki we had ever had, to spicy cheese and fried cheese dishes, to a tremendously flavored pork dish with cloves served on rice, to a topper of yoghurt with Lefkada honey, we could not stop eating even when we knew we should. And Maria and her daughter served it up with love and grace. If you are on or near Lefkada you need to get there as fast as you can.Dear friends your inspiring words honour my tavern and myself. People like you give me strength to keep going and continue my traditional small business in Kolyvata. I wish you are well and happy and have a great summer in Greece or wherever you desire. My husband and I ate here three times during our stay in Nikiana. The staff, as others have said, are very pleasant and friendly. The food was mainly traditional, with the usual starters, fried aubergines or courgettes, tatziki, good fresh bread, followed by slouvaki, and the usual stews and fresh fish. All were quite acceptable and enjoyable. We also enjoyed their local wine just 4 euro for half litre. We paid with cash the first nigh and card the other two occasions. I asked to pay in Euro each time, which was acknowledged, but to my dismay when I returned home my CC bill showed a sterling payment, which we all know comes with an exchange rate charge. I was not happy! So please check your payment method very carefully!
