Visited here with my partner the week before last,15th/16th August. On our arrival we saw that all first line tables beside the sea were reserved so we then decided to sit at one of the second line tables.I went to use the toilet leaving my partner sitting there but when I returned I saw that one of the waiters was moving my partner to table right at the back. When I queried with him as to why we were moved he mumbled something inaudible like all the tables hadn't been reserved yet which made absolutely no sense at all to me. As far as im concerned if there's a table without a reservation sign already on then the customer should be able to take. An argument with this waiter(who by the way wasn't very nice or helpful)then ensued with him asking me if I was "trying to tell him how to do his job". I said to him if tables weren't reserved then paying customers should be able to sit where they wanted. We left with a bad taste in our mouths and then went to a very nice restaurant called Roots further up the beach and staff there were lovely and totally accommodating which is the way it should be if you're trying to bring customers into your restaurant which in my opinion is the whole point!!I ate here in Uncle Tom's last year when I visited and we were able to sit where we wanted so I dunno what's changed. This particular waiter who is an older man was here then too. He doesn't have a nice manner and I think he should be spoken to on his attitude. He's driving potential customers away and not bringing them in. I also have to say that I remember the food here not being that good but Roots restaurant food and service were amazing. So if you're thinking of eating here walk another few minutes up the beach to Roots where both the owner, the staff AND the food is amazing. AND, we got a table right in front of the sea do win win situation. Regards, Frances Jordan, Dublin.

It s for sure an ideal spot for an early drink watcing people at shopping , Great cocktails and jazz music. Later changes to an absolutle meeting point of all people at the resort with nice dancing floor music ! Value for money the coctails !

The food as Pomodoro is amazing! The pizza is fantastic and the lasagna is like nothing Iâve ever eaten...absolutely outstanding. Everything we ate was great. Spiros was our waiter and he was the most attentive waiter we have ever had. If you are in Nydri Lefkada donât miss this restaurant!

We loved the atmosphere of the square with its old and huge trees. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. The food choice is authentic - we especially loved the lentil salad, Papoutsakia (stuffed eggplant) and, surprisingly, the goat!! We were quite sceptic about the goat, but it was an extremely tasty, delicate surprise, we really loved it (...the meat fell off the bone!).The complementary desserts are just the perfect size and super tasty! We enjoyed every minute of our lunch and dinner.

Lamb kleftiko ok but fried fish mix undercooked. Restaurant filled with older folks which we thought would mean it is good but unfortunately not. Rushed service, half an hour turnaround to bill being delivered. Cute cat. She got lots of undercooked whitebait so that makes us happy. Over hyped. Lefkas white wine good but served warm...

Although we only popped in here for a quick drink after a day on the water, we had to wait ages to be served and an age for the arrival of our drinks and even longer to pay,. We counted 8 bar staff/waiters as well not doing anything - I'm sure we just got unlucky, but not great service.

My husband and I ate here three times during our stay in Nikiana. The staff, as others have said, are very pleasant and friendly. The food was mainly traditional, with the usual starters, fried aubergines or courgettes, tatziki, good fresh bread, followed by slouvaki, and the usual stews and fresh fish. All were quite acceptable and enjoyable. We also enjoyed their local wine just 4 euro for half litre. We paid with cash the first nigh and card the other two occasions. I asked to pay in Euro each time, which was acknowledged, but to my dismay when I returned home my CC bill showed a sterling payment, which we all know comes with an exchange rate charge. I was not happy! So please check your payment method very carefully!
