Amazing Location, Amazing Dinner, Simple/Comfortable Room
Reviewed By Chad LMy wife and I stayed here for two nights as part of our Slovenia holiday. The hotel is small with 10 rooms and located in the middle of the vineyards of the Vipava Valley. It is about 3-4 km from the main town of Vipava. we walked into town and it was easy to follow the roads. Additionally, we walked around the roads in the vineyards and saw the local goats and llamas. The staff was super friendly and helpful and allowed us to pick our room for our stay. The rooms are in a lower level below the main building and vegetable/herd garden. Each room had a skylight to provide natural light that could be covered for sleeping. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was open to the bedroom with only a curtain for privacy. The shower has a partial glass wall and great stone floor. However, when showering, water got all over the bathroom floor and leaked under the glass door. They had placed a towel at the shower opening to reduce water on the floor, but the towel got very wet. Breakfast was standard with fresh basked bread, meats, cheeses, yogurt, and boiled eggs. one huge bonus was the homemade jams that were included in the breakfast. These were great! We had dinner one night and were blown away by the quality of the dinner. We a four-course meal and each course was unique, unusual, and delicious and probably the best meal we had in Slovenia. We also tried some local Vipava wines with our dinner and the staff helped pick the best wine. Don't miss out on having dinner here, you will not be disappointed.

The environment is relax, everything is neat, conveniently located to visit various touristic attractions. In short drives we visited the caves, a day at the sea, and day trip to Ljubljana. Last but not least breakfast and dinner are a must: fresh, locally produced and high quality ingredients turned in delicious home made meals served with care and in a very friendly manner.

Lipizzaner Lodge is a cosy boutique type B&B with 5 bedrooms en suite, 1 luxury apartment for up to 6 people and a new Relax Roof Suite for 2 people with a private Finnish sauna. We are very close to Postojna Cave (9km) and Predjama Castle (3km), Skocjan cave (27km), the famous Lipica stud farm with Lipizzaners is 35 km away from us. We also have 2 of our own Lipizzaners on the site and our Riding Instructor Irena Gubina is teaching horse riding with her lovely Lipizzaner mare Famosa aka Zuza who is schooled up to Grand Prix level but she is also suitable for beginners. It is also possible to book trail riding for 1+ days if you are an experienced rider, there are endless bridleways and you can also ride or walk to Predjama castle from us(!) for more information, contact us directly.

The location is excellent, you are close to famous caves and to the Predjama castle, as well you can be in the lovely seaside town, Piran, within 30 minutes. Chris and Hanna do everything for the guests, and beyond. They give you advice where to go, where to eat and provide you with detailed maps of the area. If you come with children, they will adore this place, there are several games at their disposal, including video games and flipper. Breakfast is delicious. We have spent only two nights, but if there is an occasion, we will certainly be back.

Reviewed By Alessio0575We decided to stay one night at this hotel for our visit to the Caves and the Predjama Castle. The hotel is part of the whole Caves complex, and its located just 10 minutes walk from the caves entrance. The rooms are very clean, and well equipped, breakfst is not included but available with 9 euro extracharge at the nearby restaurant. By staying at the hotel it's possible to get a 10% discuount for the visit to Caves and caslte as well as for a dinner at the restaurant next door (which probably belongs to the same organizartion). also very conveninent for a free of chrge car space. Overninght there is no reception and in case of emergency the guests are provided with a phone number to contact another hotel for help. Overall very good choice, there is not much in Postojna, and by staying in this hotel you will get everything at hand.

Reviewed By Ciprian DOn my way to the airport in Ljubljana, I made a one-night stop in Postojna. I have done some research on TripAdvisor and chosen the Kras Hotel. Well, it was perfect, the hotel was surprisingly good and well appointed. My room on the 4th floor was spacious and comfortable. I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the room, it was immaculate. Breakfast was of adequate quality, parking included, so everything fine. The Reception desk also recommended me a very good restaurant for dinner (Storija), which was very close from the hotel. I was fully satisfied with my stay and I clearly endorse this hotel, for both shorter or longer stays.

Patrik pension is a family company named after its owner. From August 2012 to March 2013 the building was being renovated. It was made into a sweet, functional pension with all the necessary rooms, sports facilities and café. Patrik Pension has got two tennis courts with artificial turf that allows playing throughout the year if the weather is fine. The guests of the pension are offered free tennis playing. Patrik Pension has also its own beach volley court.Especially for all of motorcylists: Free garage use!

The food almost defies description, home produced meats, charcuterie, vegetables, eggs. Amazing meals served in the evenings and home made desserts that are out of this world. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope we can go back one day. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Nice hosts, beautiful accomodation
Reviewed By Q3867PPbarbarahI went here with my friends to stay for one night. The host was so nice, we arrived very late and she welcomed us very cheerful. She brought us some extra things (glasses) so we felt very comfortable. We were also allowed to be a little loud after midnight, which was great. In both rooms there is big bathroom, two large beds and sweet furniture. In the midle of both rooms, there is large table and mini bar for eating and hanging out. Everything was very clean and beautiful, looked like everything is new. Next morning we get delicious and huge breakfast. Also location is very nice and calm, near by is the highway. Once again, excelent accomodation and such nice hosts.
