Told me the places to go, but also the practical stuff like arranging a driver and even negotiated a good scooter and price for renting a scooter for 2 weeks. He even got the scooter to the hotel for me so i could go out for a drink and leave in the morning. I highly recommend this place!!!

If you like poky little rooms and cockroaches
Reviewed By lygloBooked 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Reason being, on the first night I found a cockroach walking all over my luggage! I suspect it came in through the gap between the door and the door frame (the door didn't close properly. I was in room 1 btw). I was able to kill it by spraying mozzie spray on it and subsequently throwing a container of leftover sushi I'd eaten for dinner that day at it, which crushed it. Yucks! The next morning I packed up and informed the owner I was moving out. I was very apologetic; I really did feel bad because she and her partner were such nice people. But I couldn't possibly stay 1 more night at a place that had filthy cockroaches roaming around. She was apologetic too, but asked if I could add 25k rupiah more to the 185k I had prepared (the cost for a 1-night stay), because "the booking website would not accept a cancellation after you have checked in and they will still charge me a booking fee of 25k". Feeling bad, I agreed, and off my merry way I went. Soon afterwards, I got an email from the booking website, telling me that the owner had reported to them that I had not checked in at all, and could I confirm this. Thinking I was doing them a favour, I replied confirming that I had not checked in. It wasn't till later that I realised what I'd done. It meant that I had paid her the booking fee for nothing, and that I'd paid more than I should have for my 1-night stay. Silly me! I know they're new and they're trying really hard, and it's not like they deliberately put the cockroach there. But cockroaches anywhere are not cool, let alone in a place where people sleep! I also gotta say though that the room is very small. There's barely enough space to put your luggage down and some belongings out and still have enough floor to walk on. It's okay that there's no wardrobe in the room, but there are no hooks that you could hang your clothes or anything like that. Also, when I first saw the bathroom I thought I had booked a room that didn't have a shower. Upon further inspection, I found the shower head on the wall behind the bathroom door (see picture). There is no hot water either. Which is fine if you're taking daytime showers only, but not at night. Still, I would have gritted my teeth and just stayed the second night hadn't there been a cockroach! Too bad.

Reviewed By TonyTuchiniGuys, be AWARE! NEVER RENT this house located in Canggu! Name is “Hosana Guesthouse” adress jl.Uma Duwi house 3B. The owner is Wayan Sundarsana Last year me moved to this house under 1 year lease contract. We paid 1 year forward and gave owner 5 mln secure deposit. First 5 months were fine, but remaining 7 were a nightmare. With the beginning of a rain season the house began leaking, we asked the owner to solve the problem, and he said that’s not up to him (even though it was stated in the contract that he should fix it). Ok my husband fixed the roof himself paying for all materials. After that the owner (who lives in the neighbor house), began big construction in his yard. And it’s been 7 months of every day noises and dust. But ok. Now, when it’s time to move out, the owner refused to return our 5 mln deposit, trying to make up hundreds of reasons like he needs to order cleaning, pay for laundry etc. So Be AWARE. This house is leaking again, and the next yard construction is never ending. And you will never see the owner of the house, as he’s always sending someone to talk to you. And he will do everything not to pay you back.

Reviewed By aoifec878Everything from the room to the location to the staff was perfect. Amy is super friendly at reception and couldn't have been more helpful. They even have kittens! Close to the main street but far enough away that you can sleep peacefully.

Just 10 minutes from central Senggigi you find our homestay in a quiet area, 3 minutes walking to the beach. According to our guests we are at the perfect location for when returning from Gili's, or to start your trip to Rinjani Mountain. We have a big garden, with Coconut, Mango and Banana trees. Breakfast is included, we always have a host available and you will get a free coconut on arrival :)

He is so incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, and he helped my girlfriend and I so much with motorbike rentals (got us amazing very new bikes for 60,000rupiah/day, a super good price) and places to go and even drove us personally in his car for 2 hours to our next destination in south lombok which was quite remote, no Grab could have gotten us there. We can’t thank Toni enough and we highly recommend staying here!!

Basically a Wreck
Reviewed By camseanWe have now written over 1700 reviews on this site, including many hundreds of hotels. In all honesty, this is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. This is not hyperbole but our most objective assessment of this run- down, bedraggled, terribly run hotel. The site is filled with piles of garbage, such as plastic bottles and broken glass. Sick and underfed dogs roam around begging for food. And the rooms are shabby with peeling paint and holes in the roof. No maintenance work has been done. Then there are the hovering owners who are constantly suggesting grossly over-priced meals and services you should be buying from them. If you don't go along with their suggestions, you will get nothing but guilt treatment. We felt unhappy and uncomfortable throughout our stay. This place is really somewhere to avoid.

cozy home for family/big group

You have to enter small alley to get in (but its big enough for a car to pass). from the outside this house looks ok, but the interior is unexpectedly outstanding. its homey, spacious and clean. the owner provide basic amenities, you can cook, do laundry, etc almost everything were provided. the bed room also comfy and clean. we enjoyed our stay there. also, this property surrounded by superb local cuisine, so you can satisfy you hunger of Solo authentic food just by your foot. Host was polite, attentive and fast response. There were quite good wifi connection and tv cable. The only problem when we were there were the water pressure was too low, and aircon in one of the bedroom not working properly, but host solve it immediately after we reported. Overall, this property is worth your dollar.
