India Food Guide: 9 British food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Goa

December 9, 2019 Joeann Galban

Find out what British restaurants to try in Goa. The sandy coast of Goa is perfect for reclining by the sea. Nestle into a cushioned chair at a beach shack and savor a curry while you sip a Kingfisher beer, watching the sun slip lazily below the horizon. In Old Goa, the beautiful Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a fine example of baroque architecture. Visit during Christmastime to experience a fantastic religious and cultural mash-up of East and West.

Fire and Ice across the road 100% better.Sorry n thanks for the review.please if ever have problem with a food anywhere just not at our place , kindly point out to the management at that particular time, if they don't respond then it's a problem.....anyways regarding ur complaint abt the tandoori , ll speak to the chef n see what has to b done..We greet every guest with a smile n try n b efficient in the service. but we also see that we don't get into their privacy when dining as sum Don't want to get like it...

Very relaxing atmosphere with excellent food and service. The first time in 3 weeks I was tempted to not eat Indian Food as they have very good European options on the menu. Very good quality food although we felt it was overpriced compared to other place we ate during our stay. Always busy and very popular with Europeans.Thank you so much for your review greatly appreciated.

We came to Alex shack after hearing all the wonderful reviews. We can not understand why possibly just loyal customers who have not tried else where . The food was terrible the worst we had in any shack, atmosphere lacking with no welcome although the regulars were being attended to . The shack itself is very plain nothing pretty about it to make you want to go either. Was disappointed after the hype we had heard and a few other couples we met in candolim also said same that they had visited and wouldn’t return this year . Was a shame. Joanneg184Thank you for your review. However I'm astounded at how you can so easily criticize anything especially opinions of my valuable customers who have come and enjoyed themselves at my shack. They came with no expectations and loved it. And far as the kheema masala and Naan is concerned... I can understand that maybe it wasn't as per your expectations but what I can't understand is when rocky asked you how your meal was, you said that the portions were big. At that time you could have easily said that you didn't like it. My guess is that if you had told us the truth then, you wouldn't have been able to complain about it in your review. You are perfectly entitled to your opinions and to voice them. However I feel that it's not in good taste to generalise about opinions of others regarding my shack. Whether a customer is new or a regular, we always look after them well. It really is a shame that you visited my shack to judge rather than enjoy. All I aim to do is help my customers enjoy their long awaited holiday to the best of my ability... nothing more than that and nothing less.

Jamies Restaurant

Reviewed By Lisaleake2323

Jamies is a cab ride from baga beach around 300 rupees. The menu is quite extensive and will suit all needs and tastes with traditional sausage and mash to a typical Goan curry. Our food was served very quickly, I had chicken curry, rice with cheese & garlic nan it was a perfect sized portion and hotness. (they ask how hot you would like it) My fellow traveler had prawn curry and they were as equally satisfied with their meal. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. they do a nice selection of cocktails but we shared a bottle of house wine @1900 rupess (In Goa wine is expensive in comparison to the UK) only downside for me personally was lack of ambiance maybe some back ground music would change that. We could hear every customers conversations.
