Absolutely lovely place to stay
Reviewed By Helen ARight in the centre of Ypres this guest house is in the (rebuilt) ancestral home and looks antique although it is only 100 years old. The owners are very welcoming and provide you with lots of local information. Our room was spacious with lovely furniture and a hospitality tray. It was possible to walk to all the Ypres central attractions. Parking is mostly on street but the owners are helpful in providing the means to park. The stairs might be a bit steep for some people and we found the room suffered a little from nighttime noise of drunken passer-by; earplugs are useful. The breakfast was one of the best you could find with lovely fresh bread, fresh fruit and the offer of cooked eggs as well. I would certainly recommend this place.

Fantastic stay
Reviewed By Paul GJust spent 2 great nights over Easter, what a great find and at a great price. The Hotel O Leper is only a few yards off the main square right in the heart of Ypres in a side street opposite the Flanders Museum. Its a travel lodge type of place very modern and immaculate. Our room was on the top floor with a great view of the main square and contained a flat screen tv and a good sized fridge tea and coffee making complete with a large double bed. Breakfast is served in a bright airy room on the first floor with fabulous coffee and a large cold continental selection along with bacon and eggs. On a warm day you can sit outside on a patio. You can park overnight for free in the main square but only till 9 am but if you drive through the Menin Gate a few yards away and turn second right into Gilderen street you can park for free all the time.

Unpleasant Attitude
Reviewed By Patrick WI explained to The City Jester that my wife had multiple sclerosis and could not travel for our planned stay in early September 2020. My request was that they charge my card and that I would pay any difference in the room rate when we could visit. The reply was a one liner "Very sorry but we can not change the date." With that kind of attitude I hope they go out of business!

This nice family hotel-restaurant is located in the heart of Ypres and gives you just that little bit more. Centrally located just 50 meters from the Grand Place and close to the Menin gate. The rooms are tastefully decorated and habe all confort you can expect: tv telephone and free internet some are on the ground floor, with the extensive breakfast buffet. Garage for moto and bikes.

Customer services ignored email for 3 weeks (still no reply). Manager won't answer any questions. Only parking available is in tbe Street where others have access to. First come first served basis. I'd never stay at this hotel again. Avoid at all costs

Lovely for a short break in Ypres

Good base to explore the area, host is very helpful and knowledgeable. Room was well equipped with an Ensuite shower & separate toilet, tea & coffee making facilities. We also had a balcony over looking the rear garden. Great breakfast.

Where a stylish room is not an idle word! Ideally located, close to the town’s center or as a base to explore the area. On foot you easily reach the outskirts of town through the town’s gates. By car or (motor)bike, the hinterland is easily accessible. Putting up (motor)bikes safely is not a problem. Front tourist, nature lover, sports fan or just an epicurean on the terrace of an Ypres’ cafe? You don’t even have to choose. We’ll take care of you with a warm welcome, a cozy room and a solid breakfast to prepare you for the day.

Parking outside the house. Took us 5 mins to walk to the town square. Rooms. Wonderful. Spacious. Beautifully decorated. Shower amazing. Quiet. Bed extremely comfortable. Spotlessly clean rooms and house overall. Breakfast. Perfect. Fruit. Yoghurt. Pastries. Meats. Cheeses. Eggs. Coffee. Teas. Far too much to eat. Lovely in every way. Hosts. Simply charming. Discrete. Friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. Their attention to detail means that the place is pretty much perfect. Cat. Evasive and wary. But looks like a lovely pet. We have stayed in quite a few small cities and towns in Europe. We have not been to a B&B as lovely as this one. Cannot think of any way that it could be improved. Thank you for a lovely stay in a lovely house in a fascinating town.
