Fantastic Hotel, scenery, spa, food and room!!

What can I say apart from that we had a fantastic long weekend with our Frenchie Gizmo at South Lodge. Totally catered to my needs (gluten free) and looked after really well by the staff - room was huge (Borde Hill) and dog friendly opening out onto the gardens. Jacuzzi was an added bonus. The spa was exceptional and the cold outdoor wild swimming pool was addictive! We will be back - thank you all ? 5 stars ⭐️ for sure!!

Convenient

As expected, the premiere inn satisfies on a cost and comfort level. Ample parking and close to the train station if travelling by train. Close to a Beefeater for food and drinks breakfast is served here. A kitty dated and a squeaky bed were my only gripes.

Lovely pub that was accommodating and convenient

I needed a place to stay near Steyning at relatively short notice, and found this via google maps. I needed a (very) late check-in, and the staff were super-helpful and accomodating, which was appreciated: full marks for customer service! The room was cozy and comfortable, equipped with intriguing modern gadgets (hive thermostat and electric roof-window blind) and I enjoyed a solid night's sleep. Breakfast was just right, and with parking and wifi right there it was everything I needed. Thank you! Planning to return.

Plastic shower curtain!!

Reviewed By jan59Essex

Whilst for £130 we weren't expecting luxury, we did expect something akin to a Premier Inn etc. Sadly, this hotel is lacking - small bathroom, shower tray with a plastic curtain - ugh, how many other peoples bums had that wrapped itself around!!), no toiletries - not that we generally use them, but I'd forgotten to pack shower gel, so a bar of soap or something would have been helpful. The bed was just a double, mattress was tired so you rolled into the middle. Just a rail for hanging space (above an ancient looking aircon unit, which thankfully we didn't need to put on. There was a kettle with teabags etc which was good. Oh, and we had ordered 2 breakfast boxes - a carton of orange juice, a plastic bowl with cereal in, accompanied by warm longlife milk & an oat bar - except one box was missing that! Useful tip - the Weatherspoons across the road opens at 8 for breakfast!

Wonderful friendly service

Reviewed By willm368

My girlfriend and her friend needed to book a hotel last minute in the middle of the night after a long flight delay meant it wasn't sensible to drive home. The hotel was very accommodating about a 3.30am arrival and made it really easy for them. In the morning a full fry up was provided as part of the room rate and the hotel couldn't have done more to check they had everything they needed to get back on the road. Whilst the decor is dated, everything was clean and excellent value especially for a last minute booking. They really went out of thier way to ease what was a tiring and stressful situation.

One nights stay visiting family in the Horsham area. Excellent night's sleep in a small but comfortable room above the pub. The King size bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. Didn't have an evening meal due to family commitments but the hamper breakfast, which we ate in our room, was perfect. Coffee machine made lovely coffee as well.

Fabulous place

Reviewed By Heather B

We stayed here for 2 nights last minute. The hosts were amazing. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They allowed us early check in and we found they had put the heater on so the room was toasty and warm. There is a very good parking and we managed to park right outside our room. They are very dog friendly and even allowed us 3 little dogs. Many places won’t. Of course there is an extra charge, but that’s par for the course. The room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. However the best thing was breakfast. We were already sold on the hotel but that was the cherry on the top. The host is a brilliant cook. We had a fabulous breakfast with quality produce. I can make a really nice poached egg but this one was superb. He even told me why his were better than mine and I’m going to give it a go as soon as we get home. Overall for hospitality, comfortable rooms and out of this world food this place gets 11 out of 10. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
