Nice, cosy place
Reviewed By banm2016We were in the hotel for 4 days. They don’t have too much parking places. The hotel is really nice and the stuff is super. The room was clean. The shower was a bit too small. The spa was really cool. There are 3 different small pools under the hotel and one next to it. The outside pool was really great. The temperature was ca 40 Celsius, and at night the steam of the water was really magical. The restaurant is really good. Most of the dishes were hungarian traditional foods (4-5 types) and there were dishes for vegetarians too. I can really recommend this place for everybody.

Please be aware there is no covered passageway between the two buildings. Meals are served in the restaurant of the Main Building. Reviewed By Gennadiy SClean and quiet hotel with good, responsive personnel. The food is great. It is very traditional for Hungarian hotels with paid-only drinks in the evening. The spa is also good. Hence, this accommodation is highly recommended. Overall, it was a great experience for me.

Relaxing family vacation
Reviewed By Sightseer430452I will gladly come to this relaxation complex ( swimming pools, jazuzzi, SPA, thermal waters) every time because we can have fun both indoors and outdoors, both in summer and in winter. We felt great every time, and when we left we only wanted to schedule the next vacation, also here.

Had higher hopes
Reviewed By SzerendipityWe stayed at this hotel for three nights with their New Year's Eve offer. Had an ok time but I don't think we gained memories to remember for years. Our room was good - no electricity when we arrived and the problem was only slowly solved -, the food was tasty, we always found something to eat, even for the kids. I personally think it is much better to drink a well brewed real coffee from a tin than to accept those terrible machines in some other hotels that make water tasting drinks out of some powders. So no problem there for me, as many mentioned it below. One thing that bothered us however was the size of the restaurant. We were literally sent away by an employee at the entrance on more than occasion during our stay just stating that we should come back sometime later since the restaurant is full. I can understand that it was a fully booked period during the holidays but shouldn't a hotel restaurant be designed as to manage a full capacity breakfast or dinner flow? Try explaining to a hungry 3 year old that he has to wait: not minutes since then they would have advised us to wait nearby, but who knows for how long. "Come back later!" Really? And not in a very polite way either. Like we shouldn't bother them with wanting to have breakfast. The spa area is nice. It fits the size of the hotel since most of the guests use the spa across the road anyway. The problem for families with small kids is that there are four pools: one with thermal water NOT advised for children, one with very cold water, only for swimmers I guess, the one for children nearest to the entrance to the corridor and during the winter cold air flows in from the outside so not ideal at all, leaving only one pool that can really be used by the kids - not so exciting. The saunas are great and the salt room is amazing for children. As a conclusion we had an ok time but we paid an above ok price for it so the ratio is just not right. I don't think we will ever want to return to this hotel.

Our 4 star hotel is waiting for the business guests and families with 13 well-equipped, non-smoking rooms. Our guests can choose from standard, superior (with gallery) and deluxe (with gallery, suitable for a family) rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature a private bathroom, a minibar, LCD television, telephone, safe and free Wi-Fi. The rooms are decorated with elegant wooden furniture and most of them are 2 leveled. A spa area including a jacuzzi, a sauna and a massage room are at guests' disposal. In the wellness department, the guests can use the infrasauna, sauna and jacuzzi free from 7 am to 10 pm. Our parking place and wifi internet are available for the guests for free!
Not worth the price
Reviewed By diana hAfter seeing all the reviews on booking.com, we decided to book a room here. It seems like the reviews were fabricated, i can't see it any other way. Poor cleanliness all over the areas, they are not even hoovering the stairs. The breakfast was a joke. Almost no food, and the sausages leftover were stonecold. The breakfast girl totally disaster. She was not nice at all, i think she hates customers, where is all that staff friendliness everyone is high rating on booking? Only Janos from reception has tried to be nice and helpfull. The building is only nice from the outside, put with a bit of an effort into cleaning and customer service so the guests could see at least you are trying.

Reviewed By Botond KThe hotel itself is elegant, with its own restaurant! Pros: The wellness area was very cozy, quiet, relaxing. The staff were kind and punctual! I never had to wait! It’s an interesting coincidence that I didn’t meet a jerk guest because of this or just by chance! The food was especially surprising, they were very delicious, I didn’t expect it! On the downside, I could mention that each room is small for two people and the elevators for more than two people. It is almost impossible to fit in with packages… For me, however, the other services have caused all the negatives :)

Outside beautiful, inside average

But inside is an average hotel, maybe 3 star, now a 4 star right now. When we enter the room due to the covid I expect there is a soap in the room. But no, no liuqid soap and no "old style" soap. I asked for the housekeeper and got some pieces. But in this situation thats a pettiness. Only when I ask for clean the room that way clean the room, if not asking, they didnt clean the room, what?? The wellness is a little bit old and small, and the courtyard too. There was no jacuzzi due to the covid season but at the grand spa there was a jacuzzi with full functionality so at Aurum they didnt want to turn on or what?? I tried the welcome drink, two wine but when we checked out we payed for that, I got the final invoice, so again pettiness. When I drink at the bar, they didn't get the invoice to sign for the room, so I hope they didn't add some more drinks... I dont recommend attic room, because the air-conditioner didnt work, so there was very hot at our room, and no mosquito net at the window, so in the summer season you can decide hot weather or mosquitos. Some positive things, if you got a room with working air-conditioner and you have a mood to ask cleaning and amenities, that will be a good holiday. So close to the downtown and have some parking for your car.

Low standard
Reviewed By z0leyWifi is poor. Unfortunately my phone reception was also bad so i felt really back in time. Selection of meal is limited especially the lunch when you are served without telling or asking whether you are interested about it. Cups, plates chipped run out meals, drinks not topped back up. Bed linen full of body hair. Shower hose covered with twisted hairs. After shower (with closed shower cabin door) the whole bathroom was wet and even the room carpet got soaking wet. I asked for just a quick hoovering when we returned the larger pieces of leaves (which are the easiest to suck up) were still untouched. The majority of the toys at the playroom were damaged.

Wonderful hotel
Reviewed By bluejosaGreat little hotel looks like a little castle is in a quiet zone. Free parking is provided in the front of the hotel. Hospitality and willing to help attitude is great. The rooms are big, decorated more in a vintage atmosphere. The Thermal Spa is 7-10 min away walking.

Reviewed By aniazagataThe hotel is very nice, great people (especially Peter), fantastic food in restaurant. We ate foie gras, italian fish soup, surf & turf. Everything was so tasty! The rooms are really nice and clean. We visit this hotel every year. The hotel is very close to entrance to swimming pools.
