Reviewed By Stlo01It took us 9 hours by bus to get there from Hanoi. The approach is over a suspension bridge. Once checked in you will be shown your lodge. Being November at night it felt damp both inside and out as the temperature falls significantly from the day time temperatures. We had two days of good walking and two evenings of lovely food. The bar area has the wifi so there is non in the rooms which we welcomed.

This is also home to the Tay ethnic group. Although there are no large fields, there are unique terraces, green palm trees and the highest mountains in Indochina. Coming to Dong Que homestay you also experience the life of the Tay ethnic people, staying in the traditional stilt house of the people here.

Reviewed By Emma SMy friend and I volunteered at Dong Que Homestay for 11 days - and we absolutely fell in love with this place! It is located in the most beautiful area. If you’re looking for a place to chill out and relax, this is the one! There’s a nice waterfall just 10 minutes walk away, and here you can swim and stay the whole day with a good book if you’d like. Also, if you’re into hiking, you can hike up to the small village Lung Vai in the mountain (takes about 1,5-2 hours to get there). You can also go to Ha Giang City by taxi for around 80-100 K vnd. The owner of the place, Tien, is so nice and welcoming. Everyone in the village know her and Dong Que, and the locals often come by to say hi. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are good - and the food there is amazing (you will sit around a nice small table and share food with everyone). I will highly recommend you going here!

Reviewed By Perry HBeautiful setting on a little lake. In the day this had to be very nice. It's a 3 star in my opinion today. It has its charm but does need some real love and care and some refreshing and refurbishing. The breakfast was very simple with a few items you got to choose from.

Noisy during night and unfriendly boy at the reception
Reviewed By LamariejulieThe young guy at the reception didn’t really care about new guest. Was quite cold and unfriendly. I’m the second night it was super loud, noisy and smelly at my floor. I asked 3 times other guest and the stuff to be a bit more quiet, but nobody cared. When I went down at the night to complain about the noises, the boy behind the desk and other men just start laughing at me.... Made me feel really uncomfortable as a woman, standing there in front of them. not a behaviour that you would expect in a hotel. I also had many long black hair at my bedsheets, I think they didn’t changed.

Located on the way to Dong Van Geopark, it is only a few minutes outside of Ha Giang city centre. Green Hill is a very friendly, family run hostel. We have 3 bungalows, all with ensuite bathrooms & 2 large dorm room. We have big beds and we organize free waterfall tours & family dinner everyday. Currently we serve Free delicious breakfast for all our guests and our restaurant serves food and beverages all the time. We are sure you will feel extremely comfortable in our clean and spacious rooms. We also make a family dinner every night which everyone is welcome to join and drink happy water with us! We also have motorbike & car rental and service for tours. We give all our guests free advice and information on exploring the Ha Giang loop and the surrounding area. Reviewed By paulDcmbWe stayed for one night and booked the tour. The Hostel is really clean and the staff is really friendly and helps a lot. The tour was beautiful (even though we were unlucky regarding the weather) and the guide was nice. I highly recommend the loop and the hostel.

Reviewed By Candy CWe stayed at hotel one night before moving to Dong Van, hotel looks quite new - maybe accommodation has been improved - staff was friendly. Hotel is near city central so it is easy to walk around at night. Most of hotels in Ha Giang dont arrange breakfast so you should prepare by yourself .
