Lucky for us our little hotel was steps from this new gem. Wandered in not expecting real cafe de olla, Grandmas eggs and local twist on eggs Benedict. So tasty we headed back for dinner, regretfully missing the numerous torta offerings. Bone marrow succulence followed by recommendation of the Michelin Star chef, beef medallions, that melted through the fork. Open until 10:30pm, thank goodness.

We requested a bottle of sparking wine that was on their menu for our special evening and the waiter brought out two bottles of champagne which were almost double the price. We chose one bottle asking the waiter to confirm the price. He went back to the kitchen and returned saying the price was accurate. We ordered fish of the day and my husband requested shrimp. The fish was tuna and was cooked completely through. There were three spears of asparagus and some pea shoot greens. The shrimp was also quite overcooked. The other tables had bread so we asked for some. There were no napkins. We asked again for the bread and were told it was in the oven. It finally showed up at the end of our meal and was very old. At least two days. Warming it in the oven could not disguise stale bread. The champagne was sitting away from the table in an ice bucket but there was no one to refill the glass and we would have had to gotten up out of our seats to retrieve the bottle. The second time we wanted a refill we got the attention of another waiter and asked him to fill the glasses but he only filled one and walked away. We called him back asking him to refill the second glass. Dessert was excellent. After our plates were cleared we waited a long time before a waiter reappeared (our original waiter must have been assigned to the inside) and we asked fo the bill. 15 minutes later, no bill. We asked again. Another 10 minute wait. The table beside us were dining at the same time and their bill was presented and paid for quickly. The original waiter brought our bill and explained that he had to charge us more for the champagne as the back of house staff told him the wrong price. We were also advised the reason for the delay in the bill was a computer problem. Just too many errors.Hello skookum1. Thanks for your commentary, we will take care of all your details, to be better for the next time you visit us. Have an excellent day.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious; the huevos rancheros were perfectly spiced, and the beans and bacon were tasty. Great coffee, hand squeezed juice, and the service was impeccable. The owner is also super nice, to boot... If breakfast is this good, I can only imagine how tasty lunch and dinner will be...

We had pizza here twice. The restaurant is near the Teatro Juarez on a pedestrian street but easy to find. The restaurant is kind of "over the top" with decor etc. However, still comfortable. The service was prompt and friendly. The pizza was good - not out standing buit definately edible. Prices were a bit high.

One of the best steaks in my life! I'm not a big steak fan but this experience got me understanding how great quality steak can make you fall in love with it. Excellent service made for a fun night and great experience. Went with the family and left all full and happy. Highly recommend going hungry and reserving in advance. Even if there’s a wait, it’s so worth the it. Plus, love how they kept this cozy and homey atmosphere. As good as it gets at the best steakhouses anywhere in the world and maybe better - and it’s VERY reasonably priced!
