We have returned for a follow up visit to this nice restaurant over looking the ocean. My parents & other family members came with us. The food was served in fine fashion and the staff were very efficent. I have always found it interesting that the vegetables are served seperately to the main entrees. The chef came out to greet us & asked if we need any additonal veggies.

Wir waren hier 2 Mal jeweils am Abend. Die Sicht ist super und man ist an der See. Das Ambiente könnte noch etwas besser sein. Ein bisschen zurecht gezimmert. Gleiches gilt für die Küche - jedoch die Leute sind sehr nett, das Essen ist anständig und die Preise moderat. Wären sonst auch nicht ein zweites Mal gekommen :))Kommen wieder zum Matjes essen :))

This seems to be the only eatery in town and only open by appointment. We were fortunate to be a group of >20 and made a respective reservation. The owner/manager welcomed us and gave a historic overview of the building we were in. The drinks were served and the food was presented buffet style: very good, especially the small fish freshly grilled in front of us. We recommend to pay a visit to the church in town and ask for an organ demonstration.

friendly and attentive service in an old tavern right in the center of the beautiful village Rysum, delicious food at affordable prices. We went there with a group of friends and had a great meal, plaice with shrimps, fried potatoes and a fresh mixed salad, highly recommended. Will dine there again next time I'm stay in Rysum
