Fair Play Lounge

Our vision and the root at Fair Play is about people, conviviality and good humor. So our product and what we want to sell is the means to achieve that through place and experience. As grumpy and as mean can get, we want them to be happy. That's our ultim

I saw Fair Play was very crowded and thought this was a good sign. I ordered to go at the bar and waited. Well it became very clear that the staff was only interested in servicing the locals and their friends. I literally watched 3 separate individuals order after me and receive their food before me. I had ordered a conch burger (nothing fancy). When questioned, one of the servers went to the back and as I watched - I could see the response that I wasn't anyone they need to 'rush' to feed. Unfortunately for me, I waited a total of 27 minutes. I got up and left after my 3rd inquiry about my order. I figured that at that point, my food would be tampered with given the attitudes I observed from the cook staff. What was most annoying was I watched as a local family with ice-cream sat on the veranda with me. They did not order anything, but were twice asked if they were 'good.' I waited 27 minutes and no one checked in on me.If you are not with locals ... do not order from here. DO NOT GO HERE.

Nice beach front restaurant. Found the food and drinks to be good and in line with most other restaurant prices. A few hits to shop at on your way in or out. A few activities to enjoy in the beach. Nice televisions to watch sports on. Bonfires at night; especially Tuesday’s as Bernie’s tiki hut is next door and that is the only night he stays open late and does a huge bonfire.

Located in the Lucaya Marketplace, this was one of our favorite restaurants visited. There is an indoor bar, indoor seating, and covered outdoor seating. They have a daily happy hour. The food was outstanding. At our table we had appetizers of Spicy Tuna Dip with homemade chips that flaked like a pastry and onion rings. Main dishes were Seafood Pasta, Shephard's Pie, and Chicken Pot Pie. All came in good size portions. At the end they throw in a free shot that has about 3-4 liquors in it. None of us could drink it!Would eat here again

My son, Aiden's food was poisoned by a worker, but we're not sure who. The authorities don't believe me or my husband and we were unable to retrieve Aiden's body since a waiter came by and threw him in the cellar. When we requested to go down there to retrieve him, they didn't let me. The shrimp was pretty good though.Dear Guest,Please refrain from false ridiculous claims, as this review is absurd, just unreal !!Reviews are for real-time people who actually visit and dine at the restaurant.

Billy Joe's On the Beach

Ambiance - this place has it. On one of the most accessible free (non-resort) beaches, across from Port Lucaya Marketplace, along a path next to the police station. The beach is small and crowded with people renting/selling motorized water rides (jet skis, banana boats), braiding hair. If crowded beaches and loud music are your style, visit the beach and make sure you eat at Billy Joe's. Recommended by several locals and cruise boat staff, the conch salad (as stated elsewhere, like a ceviche... basically fresh chopped conch with diced onions and peppers) is the go to dish here. Not to my taste, but very popular. Also an assortment of fried seafood, mixed drinks and the 2 BaHamian beers - Sands made on this island and Kalik, made in Nassua.

My wife and I have been here a few times during our trips to Freeport. Friendly atmosphere and laid back type of place with good music. A mix of locals and tourists in here. The bartenders are always attentive. My wife and I sat at the bar and Michael, the bartender, said he would be right with us. Well 3 minutes later after being busy with other customers he apologized for the wait and asked what we would like...to which I responded "2 Kalik beers and conch fritters". He again apologized for the wait and gave my wife and I 2 complementary shots...again apologizing for our wait. The food has always been good here and the beer is always cold. I recommend it.

We started with fantastic Bloody Mary’s and had the lobster tails for lunch and I can honestly say the best I have ever had and amazing value! The location is fantastic right on a beautiful Bahama beach in a real local beach bar, chilled tunes, amazing food, good drinks, amazing hosts, what more could you ask for! Highly highly recommended. Forget the all inclusive down the beach and head to Cleveland’s you won’t be sorry! ❤️

We were staying at an all-inclusive resort for the first time and wanted a different, more local atmosphere for the day. We took a walk down the beach and fell in love with this place! The Conch was SO delicious and the beers were colder than cold. Everyone was so friendly and we felt totally welcomed. Great atmosphere inside with the sand floor, nice touch! We definitely recommend that everyone eats at The Sand Bar!! (We were here back in Feb 2016, I thought I had left a review, but can't find it)
