Every single member of staff we came across were so lovely, helpful and professional. We were looked after from the second we arrived to the second we left. Special thanks to Memet in the restaurant who looked after us and was always smiling. Whilst staying at the hotel we organised a boat trip on the hotel boat to go snorkelling, which was spectacular! Beautiful pool area, bar area to watch the sunsets and nice food. Would recommend!

Pondok Santi Estate is the ultimate getaway retreat featuring twelve beautiful bungalows set in lawned grounds on an ancient coconut plantation. Each traditional bungalow has a beautiful open-air bathroom, safe, air conditioner, mini bar, fan, lovely front terrace and day bed overlooking the manicured grounds. Private Pool Bungalows also include their own plunge pools, sun lounges and king size outdoor daybed. There are several day beds around the pool, on our beach and on the grounds, which are the perfect place to chill out, sleep or read. During the day, get together around the large 25m central pool where snacks and cold drinks can be ordered, listen to music or just relax on the sun lounges. The resort offers a boutique restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner while the main beachfront strip starts just 400m away with dive shops, restaurants, and beach bars, so you're never short of somewhere to eat. Cooling white stone paths link the areas of the estate, and coconut palms provide welcome shade in the heat of the day. In fact, everything has been designed to make sure your stay is comfortable and hassle-free. The island, with its coral reefs, is a favorite destination for divers, and one of the best dive spots is right outside Pondok Santi. There are plenty of dive shops on the beachfront where you can hire equipment, and arrange a boat trip. You don't need a boat for snorkelling as there's plenty of colorful coral and marine life to discover from the beachfront, including turtles, clown fish and many more! If surfing is your thing Pondok Santi is the perfect place, with a surf break right off the beach. For a couple of hours either side of high tide, you can paddle out and enjoy the waves. Most days and evenings 'Princess Margaux', the resorts luxurious traditional outrigger is available for sunset and snorkeling cruises, the boat can also be hired privately for island hopping adventures throughout the day. The island also offers riding and kayaking, and there are numerous spas on the island, where you can enjoy facials, massage and other beauty treatments. Lombok is just 20 minutes way by boat - a great destination for a game of golf, exploring the markets or a hike up Mt Rinjani.

Cooking class is definitely a must & breakfast on the beach was just magnificent! I highly recommend the mee goreng, strawberry daquari & nasi goreng! The rooms are also beautiful, beds are comfy and the turn down service they provide in the afternoon is fantastic! Ive never stayed somewhere where they have a turn down service! The coconuts are also freshly picked from the trees and the seafood is also so fresh and delicious!

They have their own chill area with service at one of the best beaches to watch the sunset and offer bike rental which takes you to the city in just a couple of minutes. great if you want to party but not be in the middle of the noise once you are ready to relax. The team was very helpful with arranging transportation and tips on what to do on the island as well. Highly recommend

The facilities were superb, with a restaurant and relaxation area on the beach. The food was amazing - we ate there every night and most other meals too. Bicycles and snorkelling gear was available. Our bungalow overlooked the beach and the sound of the waves at night was blissful. The traditional style was perfect, yet it offered all amenities including a really comfortable bed and daybed on the verandah. Wifi was always available. What made our stay simply perfect though was the staff - they were welcoming and helpful - nothing was ever too much trouble and they organised everything that we requested efficiently and with a smile. We sure were sad to leave, but we will certainly come back for a longer stay as soon as we can. Thank you Desa Dunia Beda for the most peaceful and relaxing holiday we can remember!

Reviewed By raymBanchoryScotlandMy second trip to Gili T but last time stayed in a different hotel close by. Loved that location and the Pearl looked fabulous so chose it for this trip. It is definitely the best location on the island and probably the best hotel. Close to the centre but not too close. Wonderful beach front setting with good sun beds where you can order from the restaurant menu. Food served to your sun bed on real plates and drinks in real glasses. Same at the pool. Which is beautiful too (swim up bar). Or eat in the upstairs part of the restaurant looking out over the sea. They have a fantastic bakery (cheesecake is amazing) serving wonderful cakes and really good ice cream. Most of the food we had was very good. Drinks were really good. Breakfast is amazing, best of the trip We had an pool view room which was large with everything you need (great shower) including two bottles of water daily. But have to say was a bit tired (seems normal for Gili) and lacked charm. But the hotel, location, grounds and facilities more than made up for it.. Very friendly staff. Definitely stay here again. Beach was generally very clean until there was a high tide. Next morning the plastic on the beach was shocking. Guests did a beach clean amongst ourselves. Staff could be more involved. Whole island could do better in this regard. Love Gili T, so laid back, hire a bike and nip about. Everything sooooo cheap. Can’t wait to go back. (We are a couple in our 50s)

Aston Sunset Beach Resort - Gili Trawangan is located on a gorgeous island paradise just off the coast of Lombok. There are 3 Gili islands: Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. Guest traveling from Bali can easily reach Gili Trawangan using a fast boat from Bali’s Serangan harbor(1.5 hr ride) or Padang Bai Harbor (1 hr ride). Once arriving at Gili T’s harbor, its about a 30 min bicycle ride to the resort. Guest staying on Gili T can also easily do day trips to the other islands as they are all less than a 15 min boat ride away. The most stunning sunsets are seen from the hotel’s beachfront, attracting visitors all over the island. Catch an idyllic photo at one of the swings facing the ocean, or plan a snorkeling trip to see some of the aquatic wildlife. The island has beautiful blue waters are pristine with white sand. During low tides, guests can see some of the coral which is protected to preserve the island's original beauty.

Reviewed By akbanyIt is a beautiful 4 star beach front hotel with best sunset view. We were upgraded to royal suite room, a wonderful room with private pool and garden with gazebo. Location is away from the loud night party and it had movie night every day by the beach.

Of course you need to try their amazing infamous night BBQ with an amazing selection of fish and meat and all you can eat salad bar. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on Gili T !!

The cakes are as divine as always and the mix of thai, malaysian, sumatran curries as well usual vietnamese and thai fare, just keep us coming back. Rooms are still very well maintained comfy beds good ac and fan all next to the pool. staff are genuinely amazing, friendly and helpful to a fault. bikes are free and well maintained. We very highly recommend and will be back ... oh breakfasts have a wide range of foid and are also a large part of why we come back!

Reviewed By BorderlessTravelerMy wife and I choose Mahamaya in Gili Meno off the Coast of Lombok Island, Indonesia, to celebrate our 50th birthday, to rest, relax and do some snorkeling. Mahamaya resort is not a big resort, only 20 bungalows and 2 beach front bungalows, in the property. But the lack in size, make up in service and facilities. We were greeted by Mr. Bastian who take care of us from the day I call to make reservation, making sure our airport pickup, boat ride to the island is in order and ensure the facilities are as promised. He is truly the go to person for us. The front of house team of Mr. Bastian, Mr. Rama and Mr. Hamdi truly assist us. We book the Beach Front Bungalow. The room were good size with king size bed, sofa, a mineral water dispenser that double as fridge (They took the Green concept to heart by providing us unlimited water in the dispenser and less plastic waste). The bathroom is a private-outdoor bathroom with rain shower, sink and toilet. The bungalow are 10 meters away from the beach and the quiet comfort of the small resort, really unsure us to have a rest and relax environments. The food and the service at the restaurant is EXCELLENT. My main person in charge here is Mr. Sahrul, who taking care of us every single day and also preparing the “Dinner under the stars for us”. He always suggests the best and freshest ingredients available (like the freshly caught fish that the chef grilled). The chef Mr. Sofian and Ms. Safira, make excellent island food. Everyhting is very tasty to our liking. Also, when we lounge on the beach, we were always serve a cold water and fruit (snorkeling makes you thirsty and hungry) if not with Sahrul, Mr. Isnan also help prepare the drinks. Like I said, the team at Mahamaya works behind the scene and everytime we go for a swim or walk around the island, our room were always kept very tidy by the housekeeping team of Mr. Zohri and Mr. Susanto. On top of that, Mr. lalu, the security, always keep us feel safe and secure. Everyhing we left in front of our room were always there when we return. Why I mention all the people in Mahamaya in my review, because they are all the people who makes our holiday a relaxing, safe and worry free. We can enjoy the island, the beach, and the time spent together with your loved one. Did Mahamaya in Gili Meno succeed our expectation, yes they are. I would suggest to contact them directly for reservation because sometimes the price and availability in travel websites (Booking.com, Agoda, etc.) are not updated in timely fashion. By contacting them directly, I was able to customize my holiday to get what we need. Thank you and we will be back again soon.
