Amazing experience in Bali

Reviewed By prouss134439

First off don’t believe any negative reviews that are written on here they’re simply written by people who are members of PETA and Extremist. This place treats animals better than most people treat people and I stayed here for three days did every activity multiple days and the elephants have a great relationship with all of the trainers. Elephants are well cared for well fead and appear to be very happy and have been rescued from bad conditions in other parts of Indonesia. The hotel is wonderful the food is great the service is amazing and you can’t be this experience if you’re visiting Indonesia for the money! Highly suggest

OYO 612 Dante Guesthouse

Great value for the money

Reviewed By Jessica L

Stayed for one night on our way to Ubud. Great quality for the price! Rooms were clear, air conditioned, and spacious enough. Biggest selling point is the phenomenal wifi--we just came from the lodge at the Bali Safari ($$$) and Dante's wifi blew theres out of the water! Best we've had on the trip. Breakfast was simple, but the lobby area is quite pretty. Area is also pretty quiet, very local. Staff went above and beyond with a smile.

Nice and quiet

Reviewed By Leia346

We stayed here in the family room upstairs. Bed was foam matters which was quite hard. Second room is actually a mezanine floor above, shower was breezy as half outside, pebbles on shower floor were uncomfortable under foot. Food options for breakfast were very limited. No fridge in rooms, even when in standard room no fridge, but bed was better but no blanket? Staff were great however and location was quiet and grounds were beautiful.

Aji Lodge

Super lovely.

Reviewed By christina c

I booked this place due to rhe reviews - i knew it was for me and I made no mistake! Loved it from the start. I had the back room overlooking the creek and forest and it was exactly what I wanted. Birds, squirrels, lots of roosters! Ari and Aji are super lovely. Its a little bit of a walk to the main part of Ubud but the homestay is in a quiet lane and theres a couple of small lanes between Jl Hanoman and Jl Sukma where you can avoid the main street when walking to and fro. Felt very homey. Loved it!!!

Lokaloka Ubud

Simple but Wow

Reviewed By gededarma1

The building is simple but the home away from home warm service is amazing. The associates are helpful, friendly, and proactive addressing all our needs including arranging spa treatments supported by outside professional spa therapists. We are invited to go native by offering local delicacies from Bubur Bali, Bantal, Betutut Bebek, and Jukut Kakul plus jack fruit. To conclude, the value for money is worthed with high human touch.

A shed in the middle of nowhere

Reviewed By LottieS99

This villa had very misleading reviews on bookings.com and it was in fact a wooden shed with no windows and minimal light in the middle of a rice field. The was no access by car to the villa and so you had to walk down a terrifying dirt track with no lighting to get anywhere. The room was dirty and even though it was 'cleaned', the towels and bedding was never changed and the floor was still dirty. The pool area was surrounded by a concrete wall and therefore the view was concealed and no natural lighting could enter the villa. The staff were never in the reception to request things (we even had no toilet roll for a day). There were bugs everywhere and animals trying to get into the villa at night. The shower also only worked for about 3 minutes before becoming freezing. The sounds of chickens and dogs in the middle of the night and the morning were unbearable and we were often awoken at about 5 am. The only restaurant that was anywhere near the villa accessible by foot was Moksa, a vegan raw food outdoor restaurant, and as vegans ourselves it was not nice and extremely overpriced. The main town was not walkable and if you do not ride a motorbike you cannot get anywhere. The only decent part was the breakfast however it was made by the staff in your room which was pretty awkward. Do not let misleading pictures and reviews fool you. Bad experience all round.
