We have visited this venue on a couple of previous occasions but the last was at least a year ago. Most dishes have a Caribbean touch as is expected but there are plenty of choices for those not wanting things too spicy and hot. We had a mixture of starters including Grilled King Prawns with a nice little herb salad, Lemon and Chilli Butter.West Indian Ackee and Saltfish and I had the Mahi Mahi Crab fishcakes with Garlic Aioli. Everyone said theirs was delicious although I did think my fishcakes needed a little more Crab. We each had a bottle of Red Stripe beer to accompany the starters. Now to the main courses, two had Jerk Chicken with saute potatoes, Goats Cheese and Sun Dried Tomato Butter. while I had the Creole Mussels, french fries and Ciabatta bread to mop-up the sauce, we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. This time it was a nice Chenin Blanc, very reasonably priced, to accompany.I do not know how one of us managed to have the ginger sponge dessert, I had the trio of Sorbet to which I thought would be nice and light just to keep him company. Coffee's would of been more sensible and one of us did have an Irish coffee instead. All in all a lovely lunch at a very reasonable price. The young lady serving us was very nice and polite, we did have a bit of a laugh with her. We look forward to our next visit although we have a few more on our list yet to go but will be back again.

I was so looking forward to visiting this place.Gorgeous location after a few flights of stairs and greeted by a colourful array of benches Jamacan/Ska themed.Great music and a simple but delicious food menu. Covered area to view Margate and top deck open and what a view!! However, during the day families like to visit which means children..The bar isnt catered for childrens drinks..mentioned about non alcoholic cocktails spruced up to entice children, those coconuts with straws for a refreshing summer drink etc etc esp given its Soul weekend and its theme is Jamaican.I have a few ideas and I dont think the owners thought the whole theme out given the regeneration of Margate, what a missed opportunity for a one off venue.I hope given its location, view and interest its still there in a years time esp as the staff are so friendly and informative. Take note owners!!
