Nice establish - French literacy makes a difference
Reviewed By CravingPerfectionMy wife and I enjoyed our time at the B&B. You can walk into Downtown Magog in 5 minutes, and our room and bed were comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well, and though the bathroom was exceedingly small, it functioned and was clean. I have two things that may help fellow travellers when they consider booking this location. 1. Language - speaking French would have created a better experience for us. One of the hosts did speak workable English. I like to converse with hosts and other visitors, and this is not something that could happen at the B&B or, for that matter, for most of the establishments we frequented in Magog. 2. If you are looking for decor reminiscent of the time of the building, I found that there were period pieces, but the great majority appeared to be from mainstream shops. There was also an interesting focus on wine bottle openers, but wines were not available, nor were there any suggestions of local vineyards. We didn't ask about it due to the language barrier.

Beautiful hotel right in the center of North Hatley, in front of the lake Massawipi. With our chocolate theme, you will appreciate the chocolate boutique, desserts and pastries, local products, microbrasserie beers, wine, the breakfast and lunch at the Bistro. The inn have 12 rooms with private bathroom and air Conditioning.

Reviewed By Isabelle LCharming town, well located, the Auberge la Chocolatiere is amazing for everything: the owners who operate it with their 7 kids, the succulent breakfast included and lunch that we ate, the boutique with all local products and the drinks we drank on the terrace with an exceptional view ok the river lake and mountains! We loved it so much that we still rebooked by phone for an other stay. The service was just unique. Thank you to the Auberge la Chocolatiere for this memorable stay.

Reviewed By mstraatsSometimes it is not just about the rooms, (ours was clean and had everything we needed) or about the breakfast (ours was delicious and filled us up for the drive home) or about the location (which was beautiful with amazing views) but it is how you feel when you walk in the door! Carole and Carl were lovely hosts and welcomed us to their special place. It is definitely a place you will want to come back to again and again. ;-)

Reviewed By JessieBoyWe spent one night in Magog, at this wonderful B & B. Our room (the Merry Room) was very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect. A block up from the town and all the restaurants and shops. We ate at a micro-brewery and were not disappointed. The breakfast.........to say it was the best B & B breakfast experience, would be an understatement. Michel made a 5 course breakfast for us, that was absolutely wonderful. We hope to visit again!!

The breakfast was fantastic, we had 5 choices and everything was homemade. There is a lovely heated pool that I took advantage of due to the heatwave. The place is impeccably clean and Pascal has made sure all the small things one could forget are at hand. A very short walk to the restaurants on Rue Principale and the river. Highly recommended and hope to stay again.

Reviewed By Sylvain GWe did enjoy the nice pool and chair. We did order lunch by the pool. BBQ are availabke. They are working hard to maintain all plants and garden. Looks great. Only about 15 minutes from Magog Good quality fir the price! Not so fency but very well maintain and very clean

Reviewed By DamienC1262We stayed here for a weekend getaway and it did not disappoint. Great food, great atmosphere and a prime location. We took advantage of the ski hills this time but would love to come back in the summer and see the many vineyards close by.

Reviewed By Katherine SChecked all the important boxes: spotlessly clean, micro/fridge/coffee, reasonable price. Pleasant modern decor, extra pillows on bed, bathroom with soaker tub and shower. Fast checkin and faster Wifi. No breakfast but options in town (including ever popular Tim's). Electric heat was very responsive and quiet (no noisy fan). Would stay here again.
