The Dorint Hotel Durbach/Schwarzwald is located in the beautiful landscape of the Black Forest, vineyards and the Rhine Valley. The 94 modern equipped rooms provide amazing amenities such as new spring mattresses, W- LAN, flat screen television, phone, desk, sleeping and living area, bathrooms and a hairdryer. 43 of the rooms have a couch. For meetings and banquets we offer ten rooms between 25 to 280 square meters equipped with modern technology, modern seating and daylight. In the restaurant Bellevue with an ambiance of a French bistro or the restaurant Burgunderstube with an ambiance of a historical Black Forest dining room our guests experience a regional and Mediterranean cuisine. The spa offers a 400 square meter pool, a sauna, a steam bath, a salt grotto and an infrared cabin supplemented by body treatments, facials and massage therapy services by our well-grounded team members. The medical fitness center offers more than you would expect. Free weights, machines and modern cardio equipment are available. The staff is well trained to advise in all matters.
Beautifully located but the service is horrible and does not respect its class . A shame for Dorint
Reviewed By Ian MI booked the restaurant for 8 pm as I was told it closes at 9. Was there with my kids at 7.55 pm and was told it closed. At reception no one speaks English In the rooms there is no minibar and you only have the bare minimum. The only positive thing about this hotel is it’s location

The property also offers the possibility to rent classic cars for a very special experience. The 1200 m² spa area of the Hotel Ritter Durbach includes indoor and outdoor areas, including a rooftop spa overlooking the Durbach vineyards. It offers a gym, relaxation rooms with a library and a fireplace, various saunas, including a Finnish sauna and a bio sauna, a Rhassoul spa, and an indoor pool and hot tub on a separate floor. The village of Durbach is known for its clean air, beautiful scenery, lots of sunshine, fragrant meadows, orchards and wines. Attractions include the impressive Staufenberg Castle.
Lovely rooms, but service needs improving
Reviewed By sjpoyserOur view is probably coloured by staying in an expensive suite - if you are paying €150-200 a night you would probably forgive these mistakes, but at €400, you need to be faultless, and Ritter is not. I leave these comments in the genuine hope that hotel learns and keeps improving, as it has a lot of potential. First the positives: Great suite - nice bed, elegant fittings, very spacious, not “corporate” in style. Good location in the village Room for improvement: Service - the staff are nice, but they just are not trained enough. Each conversation goes something like this: “Could you recommend somewhere to eat tonight?” “We have three restaurants” “Is maki Dan available” “It’s closed today” “Is there anywhere else we can eat?” “We have the half board restaurant” “Can we eat there?” “It’s fully booked” “Anywhere else?” “There’s [long German name]” Etc. Ad Infinitum The hotel has a complex spa in 3 or 4 locations but on check in you get a room key and a smile More substantively - they really should keep more tables. This is a common problem in the village - you need need need to book ahead. If you want to choose your evening meal with spontaneity forget it. The hotel itself is cramped with little outdoor space - they have a roof terrace, but don’t serve drinks there. If you’re looking for wide lawns and views of the hills: this isn’t for you. Also, there’s no bellhop. It’s a complex hotel with lots of little stairs and corridors. But arrive with luggage and you’ll be lugging it yourself. Sorry to be so harsh, but they need to up their game.

Great food and beer in a pleasant restaurant
Reviewed By Daniel1393We were recommended this hotel restaurant by guests at our guesthouse that we booked nearby, we were not disappointed. Nice welcome and shown to a table outside on the lovely terrace. Lots of flowers, lights and colour. Friendly staff, we were well looked after, so after a beer we chose our main course. Lots of fresh cooked hot food soon arrived, very pleasant meals of various schnitzel and delicious beef salads. Nice one chef. No room for desert so we plumbed for coffee and a nightcap. It was so very pleasant to sit there on the terrace in a relaxing atmosphere and watch the evening go by. Thank you staff. Only wish that we were able to return again in our short stayover nearby.

Very pleasant stay
Reviewed By jotafsvGreat hotel, situated in a very quiet area, surrounded by nature. Staff goes the extra mile, which is quite unusual for German hotels. The hotel's gardens are well maintained too. We had lunch at the restaurant once and can also fully recommend it. Good breakfast buffet selection too. Couple other points worth noting though, which would have made me give it 5 stars: - They do not take Amex cards for payment (not for the restaurant or hotel stay bills); - Surprisingly, they do not have any iron/iron boards guests can borrow. This is quite unusual to be honest; - The rooms are well equipped toiletries-wise (e.g., slippers, etc) but some basics were missing (hair conditioner). My wife noted this. - During the time of our stay (May 2021), there were some construction works in the back of the building near the gardens. Whilst these were intermittent, one could sometimes hear the not so pleasant construction works sound. -Also, there is no elevator, which may be an issue for some. All in all however, fully recommended, especially if you can get a good deal.

Accueil et souci de l'hôte toujours présents, Madame WORNER faisant l'effort de parler Français avec spontanéité, ce qui est loin d'être le cas ailleurs. Souci du détail et du raffinement dans les chambres et la salle de petit déjeuner. Petit déjeuner très bon et varié. Hôtel idéalement placé pour visiter la forêt noire, les randonnées...
