Reviewed By Alexandre S+ The hotel is quite recent, clean and well situated. Rooms are spacious and well equiped. There is also a restaurant we didn't try. - We paid extra for a room with ocean view and the only window on the room is about 1.6m high, so you don't ever see the ocean, unless you just stand next to the window. That's a shame.

Splurge night!
Reviewed By YiotulaWe stayed in one of the pool rooms and it was fantastic. A bit of a splurge but a fun treat. They don't let you cook in the room even though there is a kitchenette. Also, in the spring the AC wasn't on and so we had to leave the door open, would be very dangerous with small children sleeping with ready access to the pool..,

Reviewed By jonasr156I stayed here for about 3 weeks during a cable loading job. The hotel can be recommended. It has clean rooms and friendly staff. The location is good with nearby shops and restaurants. The hotel is European like style and has a good breakfast as well. The hotel has an Italian restaurant onsite with okay food. The sunny courtyard is very nice too. I will stay here next time.

The beach was peaceful and the rooms super clean and quiet and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in this part of the country.

Reviewed By Erex90Check in was easy, and the hotel had everything we needed. The location was good, but everything was a bit dirty. Our bed was very hard, and pillows uncomfortable. It's clear that smoking is allowed in all the rooms because you can smell it fairly strongly in the rooms and hallways. Our room was hot and stuffy as we couldn't find the air conditioner controller. We only stayed one night, and left early the next morning before breakfast.

Good hotel to stay in area
Reviewed By UCDorjiHotel is clean and nice. Highly recommended. Stayed here for 4 nights. Breakfast could be little better yet good that breakfast is inclusive in the room rate. Overall, it’s nice place located in center of the Donghae town.

Could have been better
Reviewed By ElegionThe location is a fair way from the train or bus stations, we had to take a taxi to and from the hotel. The cleanliness was also not brilliant, though it didn't smell like smoke at all, we did find a decent amount of cigarette ash on the keyboard of the computer in our room. Strangely enough we also found an unwrapped condom in the fridge, so we didn't put anything in there. The air conditioner in our room was also quite dirty and seemed to be somewhat broken as one of the panels kept falling off and there was no way to adjust the temperature. As well as this, the wifi in our room did not work. We asked at the desk, however they were not able to assist us. On a positive note, breakfast was good, we had eggs cooked for us which was nice, though a bit of variety would have been good. The room was quiet and quite large, we didn't have any noise disturbing us. We didn't use the PC in the room (in part due to the previously mentioned cigarette ash) but it's good to know that it's there if you're travelling without a computer and need to send an email etc.

Grungy old motel
Reviewed By Julbo09No idea how this place ended up with a 3 star hotel rank on expedia...it is simply a grungy old motel. Donghae has the odd trait of retaining all the old motels without renovating into nicer places like most of Korea, and this place is stuck in the 90s. The lobby looks nice, conveniently the only pictures available online. The rooms are musty, dated, and reek of cigarettes. For 50k a night, its not the worst option in the world. Expedia prices it at 113 a night, outrageous!! Not that I needed a reason to never use Expedia again, but thats yet another. You can do a lot better in the area, but 50 a night isnt a crime.
