Reviewed By Theo2205In 1969 I first came to Ruimzicht as a pupil in secundary school. This week I visited the villa as a guest. I was great to see the building as a hotel, I remembered the staircase and could hear the sounds of the feet of many pupils. All classrooms changed in new life style hotel rooms; every room is different. The former Aula is changed in a restaurant, my classroom for biology is now a live cooking room; The Netherlands classroom an exclusive restaurant. The room is perfectly equipped with bathroom, tv and good beds. The park around the villa is quiet, with many old trees. On the terrace you can enjoy an good lunch or a drink. Enjoying the good life. The staff is superb, paying a lot of attention to every individual visitor, also if you are a solo traveller. On a busy Saturday evening the owner took time for a personal talk. An old building with a great new concept. The Wonderfull region of the Achterhoek has much opportunities: a diverse landscape, castles, art etc. Rent a bicycle and enjoy all you see. I will return, not because it is my old school and I raised in the reason, but because of the atmosphere, the very friendly staff and above all the feeling how good live is. Theo

Reviewed By TalithaMMVery friendly staff, superb location! No a/c and we stayed there when it was very hot. There were fans though. I liked the balcony and bathroom! There were two single beds that kept sliding away from eachother, so we didn't sleep that well. Breakfast was good!!

Foodbar of Hotel Villa Ruimzicht of een gebruik een lokale maaltijd van Eetwinkel van Mien. In dit monumentale pand bevinden zich 7 unieke en comfortabele hotelkamers. In 2020 is de monumentale stadsvilla omgetoverd tot een eigentijds boetiekhotel. Met behoud van de originele elementen hebbe Liesette en Monique comfort en kwaliteit toegevoegd aan de villa. Bij ons draait het om lekker genieten en eten. Daarom is elke kamer aan de hand van één van de smaken ingericht, met eigen kleurthema en inrichting. Voor welke smaak ga jij vandaag?
Horrible people

We made a mistake with our reservation, my husband booked it and payed for the room and then by mistake he unbooked the reservation. We immediately called booking.com and there was no problem, they would fixed it. Later we got a call that this hotel had no plans at all of fixing the reservation and if we wanted to stay we had to pay again! Seriously? This all happened in 20 minutes.. After I called them they say rooles are rooles and that's it... No " hey maybe we can work it out together" nothing...

Reviewed By 849tonvNa bijna 30km Pieterpad werd ik zeer hartelijk welkom geheten. Een tent was de enige optie omdat ik laat had geboekt. Twee keer zo duur als een b&b. Helaas moest ik ook nog betalen voor een lakenpakket en toeristenbelasting. De tent was prima ingericht voor vier personen. In oktober had ik wel een extra dekbed nodig. De bistro op de camping serveerde een simpele maar smakelijke maaltijd. Goede optie voor Pieterpad wandelaars die lopen in een groep. Anders wat prijzig

Reviewed By BrendaVerhagen78Paar dagen bij B&B Coopz geweest en wat een mooie paar dagen. Mooie B&B op loopafstand van het centrum. Helaas nu niet mogelijk, maar theater en bioscoop zaten ook op de weg naar het centrum. De accommodatie was prima. Goed bed, fijne douche en meer dan voldoende ontbijt en niet te vergeten de achterhoekse biscuitjes. De beheerder was allervriendelijkst met zelfs service om de fietsen in de avond in de schuur te zetten. Ook had de beheerder goede tips om te eten in Doetinchem. In de omgeving is het goed fietsen en veel te zien. Niet voor niks 5 sterren dus.
