We had two delightful lunches at Villa Verdin. The dining room has a wonderful view across the lake in Millstatt and is warm and inviting. The service is a perfect match - friendly and helpful. And the food was delightful. The menu is clearly influenced by Italian cuisine and this provided a refreshing alternative to the often heavier Austrian fare. The wines that were recommended were excellent as is often the case in Austria. We had hoped to stay at Villa Verdin but were unable to do so. If the rooms are as good as the food it would be a wonderful base to enjoy the area.

Die Bar präsentiert sich facettenreich, klassisch-modern. Der Weinkeller lässt keine Wünsche unerfüllt und Kostbarkeiten warten nur darauf entdeckt zu werden. Auf der Speisekarte finden sich Spezialitäten der österreichischen Küche. Die Zusammenarbeit mit regionalen Produzenten ermöglicht höchste Qualität. Hier ist Gastfreundschaft keine Wissenschaft, sondern ein Lebensgefühl. Am Kleinsasserhof werden Suchende zu Findenden.

Kleinsasserhof is both a delightful and eccentric guest house and a very popular restaurant. We stayed there for two nights and ate both breakfast and dinner there.
The breakfasts were outstandingly generous with a wonderful array of fresh foods and cereals. Add to this outstanding cooked eggs and coffee - you could not ask for more.
Our meal on one night was a set menu party and was also generous in the extreme. The menu was focused on the best local cuisine and was wonderful. The other night we ate a la carte and the only reason I have not rated this restaurant as excellent was that I had difficulty choosing a meal that was not too large or too rich. Clearly this is not a problem for the Austrian palate as all the other reviews suggest. Well worth a visit if you want to experience true local cuisine.

Trattlers Einkehr is a Chalet-Restaurant in the valley of Bad Kleinkirchheim offering an authentic Austrian atmosphere. The weekly programme includes live-music, barbeques, torch-light-walks and wine tastings. You can also book the chalet with a horse carriage or horse sleigh. Its cuisine is mainly Austrian using only regional produce from Carinthia and Austria. The food was great, but the service was quite slow. There was live entertainment and was very family friendly. Traditional and I would recommend it.

A must try. If you are not picky with the ingredients, you really can't go wrong, deliciously baked potatoes will blow your mind. Garlic soup is one of my favourites as well. Highly recommended.

A great pizzeria and always very popular. The Calzone pizzas are huge and crammed full of delicious ingredients. They also have two skittles alleys - great fun after a nice meal with a few bears.

Frequento Bad da 20 anni ed ho visto cambiare in peggio tanti ristoranti, diventati più per turisti a scapito della qualità e dai prezzi alti.
Per caso mi sono trovato a passare dal Gasthof Wacker ed ho voluto provare la cucina in una serata calda. Io e mia moglie abbiamo cenato all'aperto, bel posto, tranquillo, personale gentilissimo ed ottima cucina. Abbiamo provato cotoletta e manzo alla cipolla con contorni di fagiolini, crocchette di patate ed anche insalata. Tutto ottimo, qualità eccellente, personale gentilissimo, mi sono ricordato dei primi anni di frequentazione di Bad dove nei ristoranti mangiavi prodotti di qualità, genuini, frequentati da gente del luogo che sa dove si mangia bene. Ci sono tornato stasera e confermo il giudizio espresso. Prezzi molto buoni.

Stopped after cycling around lake Millstädtersee for a drink. Great location and comfortable Seating. There is a changing cabin, so we were able to go for a swim in the lake and enjoy the lovely drinks. The fruity milkshakes are fantastic. Very friendly staff and laid back atmosphere. You can walk in, cycle, take the car, swim or kayak. The salads looked fantastic too and I am sure it's great at night. Lovely spot for everyone.

I had heard of this restaurant from my ski instructor who is from nearby Radenthein. This restaurant humbly quotes "best chicken place in town", and another Tripadvisor comment quoted "Best chicken place in Austria". Therefore, we came to this restaurant with high expectations.
The setting is humble, a quaint design, although boasting a beautiful Terrace overlooking the valley.
The menu is interesting, quite creative, and stands out from other restaurants in the area. Mainly chicken based, although also caters for vegetarians (see picture of Veggie Chimichanga).
I live in Hong Kong, and came to Radenthein on holiday, and I was 100% impressed. The chicken (free range) was sublime. I had the house special fried chicken while my dad had the chicken breast (my mother is vegetarian and had the Veggie Chimichanga). The meat was tender and tasty - really blows away any fried chicken I had before.
I highly recommend this place. It is simple, although maintains good quality. It is VERY popular, so make sure you book in advance! If possible, book a table on the Terrace.
3 people: 1 mixed salad to share, 1 fried chicken, 1 grilled chicken breast, 1 veggie chimichanga, 2 desserts, sparkling water, red wine ==> EUR 65.

We spent nice evening in that restaurant. We ordered different kinds of pizza. Also local beer and very tasty red wine.
They have got wide range of wines.
I can also recommend good spaghetti frutti di mare.
Prices are on good level, 4 adults and 3 children with drinks included bill was 90 euro.
Stuff proffesional and friendly.
I will come back next time.
