Reviews on Diner food in Funen and Islands, Denmark. This region is home to 700 miles of coastline and 90 islands, including Fyn, the third largest island in Denmark. Also known as "Funen," this attractive island of thatched farmhouses, myriad beaches, forests, beaches and grassland offers gorgeous Kattegat and Baltic views. The most popular spot is quirky Odense, birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, but don't miss Ladby's Viking ship grave, where the remains of a 72-foot longship, burial site of a 10th-century Viking chieftain, have been excavated.

This was an amazing surprise and Dinner experience. Can Highly recommend. The Buffet had such a good variety of Fish Dishes. I had 19 of them but still that was not the Full selection. There were also some Limited Meat choices and Salads and Potatoes.I have seen a Danish Review commenting on the lack choice of White Wine and I can agree a little more choice would be good. We chose the most expensive which was Chablis due to only one other choice.Yes the Restaurant was very busy but my Danish cousin had Booked our Table.I am sure in the Summer months this would have great views across the Bay so if you wanted that I guess you could Book in advance and request this. I noticed that one of the âOwnersâ was going around the Tables sometimes sitting with the Guests which is a nice touch.

Grill buffet with something to suit every taste. Restaurant Flammen in Odense is spacious yet cosy and full of atmosphere - with room for everyone. With its many cosy nooks and floors in various levels, the restaurant is an obvious choice for any occasion
Wauw, where we were disappointed with the waiters, we had gathered 13 people for a birthday, with a spread from baby to old. They were not very helpful, and far from friendly.Fortunately, there is always (in my opinion) good food at "Flammen", no matter where in the country you visit the chain.

Sustainable café In Odense, Denmark. Everything is vegan and organic. We use local products in the best quality and we make the food from scratch. Café Kosmos is not your usual café. At Kosmos there is no boss, all owners work at the café and put in sweat
Located in the backyard just a minutter from the pedestrian street and the heart of town, the small and cozy place og Kosmos can be found. It's a small place which serves burgers with sides as well as soft drinks, beers and coffee. If you order a side of potatoes with a burger, you get a discount on the potatoes - and they are very tasty. They have different burgers, and you can order multiple small versions og the burgers to get a taste and decide which one you'd like to order as a full meal (the minis are not free, naturally). The staff is friendly and speaks Danish as well as English. The staff is happy to discuss recipies and share knowledge/ideas. When I visited, the place was full and only one chef were at work, but the wait was nomore than aproximately 15 mins. It is possible to order a table reservation. They have a few tables outside as well in case of nice weather.
