Nice Family Run Business
Reviewed By 333cat155I was at Casa Hotel Maune about a year ago. It was my second time staying there. The rooms I stayed in were very large. The owners are very pleasant. If you speak Spanish, it is helpful. You can email them in English and they will reply to you in English. It is a nice walk into town. You must go to the park in the evening to hear and see all the different kinds of parrots. You MUST take a boat ride on the Amazon. Leticia is a wonderful place. We also took a trip to Parque Ecologico Mundo Amazonico. It was my second visit there. I enjoyed just as much as the first time. We took different trails each time. Be sure to have lunch there. Rafael will pick you up and return you to your hotel.

Reviewed By An_Irish_WandererIf the purpose of your visit is to experience the Ayahuasca then this is probably the place to go. If you're a regular Joe however you should probably look elsewhere. Our Jungle Tour brought us here on the second day. There's nothing unsavory about the place, but it's atmosphere is one more of spiritual healing than a cheerful backpacker environment.

Lo tenía en mi lista de lugares por conocer y los comentarios de TripAdvisor me animaron para emprender la aventura. Es muy retirado y el acceso no es fácil. Nosotros viajamos por tierra desde BOGOTA e hicimos una parada en Tota de ida y en Paipa de regreso. En todo caso el viaje es pesado, pero ya en el lugar todo se olvida y al momento se tiene la certeza de que volvería mil veces sin dudar. Es una finca de ganadería extensiva que tiene la fortuna de estar cuidada por la familia Barragan, unos ganaderos sensibles y comprometidos hasta el cansancio con la preservación de la naturaleza y el rescate de la cultura llanera. Nelson, el líder de la manada, no solo es un gran anfitrión, sino que es pintor, músico, poeta y un hombre con una sensibilidad increíble. Ni que hablar de Jenifer su compañera y sus hermanos Jorge y Julio. Hicimos dos días de actividades en el Hato la Aurora, vimos aves bellísimas, la anaconda, los chiguiros y un paisaje muy especial. El segundo día cabalgamos por el Hato y navegamos por el río Ariporo. El hospedaje es cómodo, sin lujos por supuesto porque no irían con la experiencia y el lugar, la comida es abundante y deliciosa y la atención de todos, un primor. En la noche una velada de música llanera en la que nuestros anfitriones nos volvieron a sorprender. Si busca lugares para conectarse con la naturaleza y valorar las labores de conservación, este es el lugar.

Reviewed By Kat KSuper convenient location a short walk from the colonial town center and in the heart of vivid Getsemani neighborhood! Accommodation was simple but pleasant, rooms comfortable and clean, well maintained common spaces and a lovely rooftop terrace with shaded lounging area and the option to cool of in the small but sufficient pool. Kind service and good breakfast also added to our satisfaction.

Miss Trinie guest house is a native house with the original local architecture. Its history goes back more than one hundred years. The house was build by the first doctor that arrived to the island. This house has been passed through 5 generations.
