Great smal hotel, no view

It is nice small hotel in the city centre, 5-10 min walks from public parking spot. It does not have a view but everything else is ok. The bed is good, breakfast is ok and stuff is friendly enough to enjoy a day or two in the San Marino.

Location, staff, price

Situated a few minutes´ walk from the historical centre and bus station of the Rimini-San Marino shuttle. Good breakfast, nice and helpful staff. Reasonably priced. My room faced the street, so it was a bit noisy in the morning. If possible, try to get the rooms facing the countryside, they must offer a fantastic view.

Pleasant accommodations in the heart of the ancient republic

Reviewed By SleeplessinSD

We had a two-night stay here and, although our standard double room was small, it met our needs. The bathroom in particular was extraordinarily well outfitted. We dined in the hotel restaurant one night and were more than happy with our seafood tasting menu — topnotch cooking. Two small warnings: although we were on the third (top) floor, the street noise was fairly loud. A room facing away from the town probably would have been worth a premium, price wise. Also, we traveled to San Marino on the bus from Rimini. While this was a fine way to get there, San Marino’s old heart is a warren of streets, and we had some trouble finding the hotel. I wished I had taken a bit more time beforehand to figure out the best walking route. But these were small blips in an otherwise highly enjoyable stay.

Suites, Montefeltro

Their Montefeltro Suite is the best hotel room in the country of San Marino with hot tub on large deck and 1 1/2 bathrooms. Nada was very helpful making reservation. I believe there are only three suites so I can not discuss what the other rooms were like. Parking is a little bit of a hassle since you leave the car at their other hotel and walk.

The restaurant has great food and a fantastic view. We really enjoyed our stay and had fun chatting with Donatella in our broken Italian.

Fantastic view, horrible everything else...

Reviewed By Mantis a

The name is truly fiting since the view is fantastic. The hotel sits right at the northwest edge of the citadel and overlooks the cable car. However that is the only positive thing about it. The room was basic with old cheap furniture, the heating was not sufficient (visited in December, it gets very windy up there...) and the air conditioning unit seemed to be offline. And the blanket was very thin...Speaking of thin no need to mention the towels which had more in common with tea towels than bathing towels. Needless to say we did not want to take a shower in these conditions. Furthermore there was a clear absence of sound proofing, steep stairs and no lift (note however that it is a very old building) and basic breakfast (cake, croisant and rusks with marmelade or nutella). Also lacking ergonimic consideration when "designing" the layout of the bathroom , we found no place to place our toothbrush... Next time better stay somewhere down on the plane and take a ride on the cable car to see the view. Bonus* visited during the Pandemic * They didn't even consider to check our Green Pass / Vaccination certificate...
